Guest idunno101
Looks like we're going to be getting some new Lego racers courtesy of Shell (gas company). When you buy shell gas you will be able to get some mini Lego Shell racers for an additional purchase. It seems to only be available in Hong Kong right now but the site says coming to your country soon so that seems to mean it be available globally. They look to be cute little cars but who knows how much you will have to pay for them? Anyways really excited for them to come. Hope they will be a good investment opportunity. *Here's the link- http://www.shell.com/home/content/products_services/on_the_road/fuels/ferrari_model_lego_collection/ * instructions for the cars are here if yo want to know what the pieces will be* http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012970.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012971.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012972.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012973.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012975.pdf http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildinginstructions/6012976.pdf
Brick625
Shell offering lego will be as McDonald's offering Happy Meal - kids will tell their parents to get gas from shell for them to get the toy - it could actually work - kids crying that you went to 76 or chevron instead of shell
Medieval Guy
Speaking of McDonald's, I hope that these cars are better than the ones at that were in Happy Meals.
Ed Mack
Speaking of McDonald's, I hope that these cars are better than the ones at that were in Happy Meals.I wasn't a collector when LEGO released their Happy meals with LEGO cars in them, but from pictures, the SHELL cars look pretty nice in comparison. Guest idunno101
Speaking of McDonald's, I hope that these cars are better than the ones at that were in Happy Meals. Yeah those ones sucked they were just 3 giant molded pieces that attached to each other so you could only change the top and middle of the car. But the shell cars look like they will have about 20,30, maybe 40 pieces each.
purpleparadox
Well, looks like Shell will be getting a lot of business soon! The models do look pretty nice.
CelesAurivern
They're being released in my area now, so in the process of picking up a few. I read somewhere they'll be given away in the UK with The Sun, sometime this month.

Alfiepops
This thread is from 2012... I'm guessing this promotion is ended? Sorry for the confusion. I didn't look at the date of the thread anyway my post is for the new upcoming promo for the Ferrari cars coming to Shell stations in the UK in November 2013. I believe there will be 7 in total including pitstop minifigures (2 or 3 of them) in the last promo bag.
Diabolos80
Good news! I hope we get them in the states too.
Alfiepops
Good news! I hope we get them in the states too. I assume the promotion will be mostly worldwide eventually. I think it started in the Far East in Hong Kong and my guess is it will travel to most countries that sell Shell gas. The US should get them if the UK is getting them. Scissorino
Shell promo seems to be coming to the UK. Would be interested to see a little article on the history of Lego's affiliation with Shell as I have some old sets that have Shell printed pieces in them. You could join the forum and post a question. I bet there are loads of UK Lego fans who would happily help you with the info you need. It wouldn't do any harm to ask Shell if they have any archive material and Lego themselves. You could tell them you are putting an article together on the relationship between the two etc etc. Good luck
toy brick salvage
Unfortunately the Shell & Lego romance never really got very Hot . I had a ton of little Shell cars and other Transportation vehicles in little boxes from 1999, they did about 6 or so of them, I may still have a complete set on my e-bay store. I did like, and was buying them up when found reasonable, the bigger Ferrari formula cars available at Shell only, now they did get Hot and sold for $50. to $100. Usually 1 or more on e-bay. I'm looking at 6 on a shelf below to my left. Still like them.
ppsagehen
These are now available at Shell here in Malaysia. The one near my house has had a lego character out front for a couple months now but i just assumed it was a bootleg since so much fake chinese plastic is for sale around here... but then i heard on the radio that you can get them if you pump about $10/gas for RM9.90 each which is about $2.34. Will get a few to drive across tower bridge. here's the full list according to the website Austria Germany Switzerland (DE) Switzerland (FR) Chile Pakistan Malaysia China (ZH) Hungary Poland Edited December 3, 2015 by ppsagehen
