TheDarkness Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 That's like getting kicked in the groin..... Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Whats the big deal ? just pick up the pieces off the floor. People with kids know this and do that all the time ;-P I never realized that SSD looked like a tribal shield until that guy held it like that Quote
Brick625 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 after 5 years on the market, i believe a lot of ppl would like to do that to DS, im one of them :) Quote

Grolim Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Good for a lol, and I'm sure the almost half million views has paid for the time it took to clean up. Quote
Snowcrash Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Philosophically speaking is there any other toy you can do this to and not permanently destroy? Lego makes a pretty darn good product. Quote
JoshTX Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 One guy should've held the SSD like a shield while the other guy threw the DS at him. Quote
Blackjack Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 My Eyes are bleeding!!! I love how Luke was lying there under the rubble! The slow motion yelling was also funny. Quote
Blackjack Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 He kind of missed spearing it... That's what I was thinking. Quote

Hey man...there's nothing there that doesn't prove any of those pieces weren't permanently damaged....or at least badly scratched. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I guess some peoples time is more valuable than others..........I have better things to do than pick up 6,955 peices off the ground. Oh cmon, I would get a broom and a dustpan, sweep the floor clean, and put the pieces in a big ziploc bag. Then sell the bag with all instructions for $300 on eBay with disclaimer: 80% complete DS & SSD pieces mixed. I am pretty sure someone on this forum would bid on it in a heartbeat. There, $300 for 20 minutes of work, including posting it on eBay. Quote
redeemed763 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 No, thats not $300 for 20 minutes work, thats $300 for $800 of Lego, if you were to leave those sets intact, you could have sold them for $300 each just as easily. Personally, I appreciate the beauty of the destruction, they took a lot of time to film it well and I love watching the different angles of the collision. Quote
Sflego86 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 The Death Star was fine until it met it's ultimate fate by hitting the floor. Fun to watch! Quote

My comments were the response to stephen_rockefeller who had better things to do than picking up 6,955 peices off the ground. Perhaps a $300 valuation would make it worthwhile for him. Of course $300 is low, I was trying to get it sold to compensate for his time. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 I guess it fell on the floor separately? NOT!!!! The sorting alone would takes hours. Like I said some people value their time ;) Quote
