Teebo542
I just started collecting legos recently and cheaply so I've been checking out the local walmarts for clearance. I picked up Macks Road Trip 5816 without any real interest in it, but it was only $30. I've seen them selling for over $100 new, so I was wondering, should I sell now or should I sit on it for a bit? It's a duplo set and a younger theme, doesnt seem like it will get much higher in my opinion, but I've only just started collecting. It's new in box but has a crease/dent in box. Thanks for the help. tigereyes5811
I would sell now and try to get back a minimum profit of 30% on it and then reinvest the profit on better sets. Cars doesn't do too good even though its a popular theme with younger boys. The other Car Toys do good but for some reason the LEGO Car bombed!!! Sell sell sell and sell it soon!!! c4dreams
holy moly, I had no idea the cars duplo sets had shot up in value! my son has some of these and has outgrown them, so maybe it's time to sell. they're used of course, but still probably worth a decent amount.. Teebo542
Thanks tigereyes, hopefully I can make a few bucks on it. Maybe I'll get lucky and get some of the high prices I've seen them sell for.
jaisonline
lego sets generally sell more in nov and dec than other months.
