Fcbarcelona101 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Check out the bid history. Two bidders, zero feedback that went from 150 directly to 1000. Definitely something weird going on there. Quote

Maverick2k1 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I'm going to guess that the item was going to sell for less than he wanted. As a result he had friends (or had another account) and bid it through the roof so he can relist at a later date. Even if he gifted the money to himself there would still be eBay fees right? All the major bids happened last second. Quote
TheDarkness Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Having 15 of these however, I could only dream that it was true :p Quote
redeemed763 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 There is pretty much no chance that the transaction actually occurred, I have no idea what they were trying to do but the behavior is about as suspicious as it gets. Personally, I could see this set perhaps hitting the $600-700 mark down the road if the stars align, but getting to the $1000 mark is pretty much an impossibility. In all likelihood, it won't get much higher than $300 in a little while. Quote
