TheOrcKing Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 It's not easy. I personally have come up against picking some themes to follow and other's to leave behind, but if I did that I might have to face aftermarket prices to get the sets I want later on. I'll figure something out! It's tough when Lego continues to produce wonderful sets! It certainly is tough especially when Lego keeps coming out with new designs all the time. Add the fact I love just about everything. I mean, recently I have been buying up some Friends sets and they're not for investment. :red: Some sets I figure will have a higher price on the secondary market so I really do try and push by getting one now when currently available but alas some things can't be helped. TheDarkness Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 It can be hard distancing yourself from it that is for certain. Since I sell and invest more, I build less. I am focusing more on flipping lately than investing, but mainly because I am clearing some space too. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I'm still in my hunting and gathering phase at this time of the year. I don't think I'll be doing any major selling until closer to the holidays if my budget can hold out. Quote
Darth Lego Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 That's what I usually do. Not everybody likes to leave a reply. That's true. A poll makes it anonymous. I just added a poll for "average number of sets purchased in a month" and hopefully it covers all the bases. Thank you TheOrcKing! :-) Quote
comicblast Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Depends. In late December to Janaury, I was probably buying 5-10 a week (mainly smaller setes), partly because I was just starting out and had a lot more free funds than I do now, and also because that's when the great clearance sales are. Now it's probably more like 0-8 per month. :( Quote
LowestFormOfWit Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Well, this is my first month in the LEGO investing game, but I've bought 17 sets and 18 Series 10 minifigs so far. I scored big on my initial investment and used the profit to reinvest into more sets. Quote
