MartinP Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 Nice compliment to the car if this comes to fruition, as it reached 10,000 votes. With the piece count, though, it won't be cheap but would totally buy this. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/60632 That would go with the car, but I have doubts of this idea becoming an actual set. The price/piece count would be too high for Lego to make it. Quote
queenbean84 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Its out on TRU, online and in my local stores. It's also out on Amazon. Good sign? Quote
Achilles Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I have a hard time believing this set is on its way out already. Quote

M4x18 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I am worried that the rage over 21109 and 21110 carries down to Ecto-1 and wipes it away. And I say worried as I have none of this one. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker 1 Quote
Ciglione Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I have a hard time believing this set is on its way out already. Me too... happy to have one for my personal collection at least. Quote
rubysue74 Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 I thought target, walmart and b&****** have it They all do & also still at LEGO Shop at Home w/ a limit of 5. amazon being out isn't much to report. It's been in stock & out there repeatedly & rarely at MSRP for some reason. I am worried that the rage over 21109 and 21110 carries down to Ecto-1 and wipes it away. And I say worried as I have none of this one. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker My opinion would be the opposite, that the rage over the other 2 sets has taken any focus/interest away from the Ecto-1. Not that BP is the sole indicator, but there's barely been a word on here for 10 days or so regarding this set, so it feels like it's fallen by the wayside for the time being. I think this is around a while longer, but what do I know. Quote
Handmemyarms Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Its out on TRU, online and in my local stores. It's also out on Amazon. Good sign? Went to TRU despite the website saying their out, and found one. On my way out I got stopped by some random dude asking me where I found the ghostbusters set, told him I grabbed the last one, offered me $20 even though I hadn't bought it yet. Needless to say even in 5 years when the movie celebrates 35 years I think this item will be wanted. Quote
No More Monkeys Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 If the license rumors are true, then we are on 2 years ride with this one Quote

It makes too perfect adult-targeted gift Quote

TheOrcKing Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Ecto-1 although a better model will share the same lifespan as the Delorean. They're both licensed vehicles from classic cinema. I think we have time to perhaps see a small discount for the Ghostbusters car on Amazon in the long run. Quote
redghostx Posted August 10, 2014 Posted August 10, 2014 If you are in or near Salem, OR the TRU has 2 or 3 ecto-1 left in stock at MSRP. The 20% coupon works reducing the cost to $40. Ex Astris, Scientia. Quote

teohwp85 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Time to revise our outlook given how the DeLorean is doing lately? Quote
mscheaf Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 I have said all along this and the Delorean are going to be winners. 1 Quote
ugen Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Building this right now with the wife and omg this thing already looks amazing, lots of fun to build!! Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote
jay4e Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 A two year license on this would make sense, given that the new movie (series reboot?), will likely be release not long after the license ends. However it is also entirely possible that lego already has negotiated, or has options in the existing contract, for the new movie rights. If that is true we will likely see new sets in the future. The only question is will this set live on, or will it be replaced by something else? Quote
Lokin4AReason Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I just bought this over the weekend and its an interesting set to put together its an set that involves a bit of time and patience ... from the looks of it, they thought this one through. what do you all think ....??? Quote

AFFOL Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I think it is better made than the back to the future set. There are other cuusoo concepts out for votes such as their headquarters. I wonder if this will pull through. Quote
richardcore Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 This is a very nice set and a better build than the DeLorean IMO. I will pick up some more of these, hopefully the headquarters will pull through. Quote
Chloer90ltp Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Did anybody else get a different character head for Ray in this set? sorry if this has come up before. Quote
Stevenplays Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Did anybody else get a different character head for Ray in this set? sorry if this has come up before. Maybe you're using his alternative expression or mixed up the heads? If not; is it a head from another set? Quote
