A typical day on BP 2015:

superlegofanresseler3476:  EV is crap.  Ewoks were to the OT as what Jar Jar was to the prequels.  Nobody likes them.  And who wants a set that's nothing but a bunch of trees?  Really LEGO?  Trees?!  Plus, if you check the stock tracker in Europe you'll see that they have plenty on hand.  Probably enough to last 12 months at least.  I've been tracking the sales of this one along with a dozen other sets every day and I can tell you that EV is the worst selling exclusive released since 2013 with more than 1,750 elements and less than 18 minifigures.  Total crap.  I've also been watching Amazon and this is never selling for more than $290 Prime so if that doesn't tell you everything you need to know than I don't know what you're doing in this game.  I'm not getting any of these for my own collection or to flip.  There are so many other better sets to put my money in right now.

superlegofanresseler3476:  OMG!!!1!!1!!  It's gone?!  Damn, I'm going to take the day off work today and hit all the LEGO stores I can.  I've got two in my state plus the neighboring states, hopefully I can pick up about 23 by the time the day is over.  I'm going to bring my nephew and his friend along.  They'll do anything for Hot Dog On A Stick.  Anyway, I love this set and it's going to be huge this Christmas.  You all know The Force Awakens is coming out, right?  It doesn't get any bigger than that.  This is like the perfect storm of LEGO flipping.  Where's George Clooney?  Oh but just in case I'm not able to get any, if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.  I really need to have one for sure, I can't wait to have this displayed with my Sideshow Scout Trooper.

Ewoks just got a lot more popular!

Just no tribbles, right???

ST_TroubleWithTribbles.jpg

LOL I think I posted a picture of my 20 year old tribbles that I have here once before.

Stuffed animal tribbles.  I have two of them.  they move around the house at times but are never out of reach.

At least they do not multiply.

Remember when the Tumbler wasn't available for months last year on Shop at Home and we all thought prices would skyrocket, but they didn't?  LEGO kept a steady supply going to retail stores and had employees interrogate anyone trying to buy more than one.

Also remember when the Simpson's House was on backorder on Shop at Home until September and Amazon kept them in stock at MSRP the whole time?

I'm not so sure the Ewok Village will be seeing a big price increase on the secondary market due to this, but I do have a few just in case.

Ewok Village is a lot later in its life cycle than the Tumbler and has the STAR WARS hype to help.  It's hard to gauge the popularity of this set.  Personally, I like it, but don't love it.

ugh.... dang target packing.... got an ewok set and it showed up in crappy shape.

The packaging sides are both pushed (kicked) in creating a 3d bulging presentation of the front. ewoks in 3d

I am getting tired of poor the packing on amazon and target. (and don't start me on the UPS (useless people's stuff) experience)

I'm really not sure how to read this January "business." Will they make more? Will it just vanish? Are they trying to suppress the secondary market through the holiday with this message?  Are the Ewoks really just highly evolved tribbles?

I can't answer any of these questions without firm shipping dates and less #CHAOS.

Sorry, Garfunkel. We don’t hock Trek here.

Take this for what you want...I went to the lego store last week, and talked to an employee that has worked there for 5+ yrs, and kind of knows what he's talking about.  He said that a little while back, a manager at one of the lego stores, had accidentally marked down EV at his store for 20% off. He said that because of that violation for marking down an exclusive, that the lego stores, and Lego.com will not be selling  EV for a few months, as a penalty or something like that.   I didn't know what to make of it at the time, but it does kind of make sense now, with this "check back in Jan." on lego.com.  Hmmm...I dunno, but I've been buying a few here and there, just incase.

That makes no sense. So his store accidentally puts the set on sale and lego.com and all lego stores are punished.  Seems really far fetched to me.

TLG isn't the kind of company to make such outlandish policies. Except in Colorado, evidently.
