stephen_rockefeller
I thought the 10188 DS was UCS for ages, I had to check multiple sources when I found out it wasn't. Didn't think the EW was going to be UCS, so good to know others have that same thought or knowledge.Yeah back in the day I thought he DS was a UCS set, its amazing how much you can learn in a year and a half. bmw328i2008
Does anyone think that lego will sell out of these on aug 16th until they are offically released. I have a weird feeling that this could be the next best set for Christmas since 41999. Anybody have any opinions on this?
Guest eightbrick
Not on the same scale. 41999 was limited edition, there was a rush because everyone knew this was their one chance to get it at retail. With the Ewok Village, sure, the first ten or so on eBay are going to fetch a pretty penny as always with new SW sets, but I don't see a feeding storm here. Especially since most people view it as the replacement for the Death Star, which has had one of the longest Lego set availability times ever. Should be an interesting discussion, thanks for posting! bmw328i2008
Hmm. I wonder if the death star will finally be retired at the end of the year if this is the case of the ewok village possibly being its replacement. In the first couple years after the ewok village retires i believe this could catch big time returns once placed on the aftermarket. It just has that look about it for some reason. I really iconic set i believe.
Diabolos80
I dunno. It maybe might could sell out at LEGO Shop at Home, but I doubt Lego has underestimated demand, and has planned production numbers accordingly. Plus, it's ewoks. I've never even heard of ewoks, and I've been watching Star Wars since 1980.

TheDarkness
They even ship it internationally. Still not ordering it. The next big set since 41999? That set is a fortnight old and sold out. This one will be out for years.
stephen_rockefeller
I think most people here (and a lot of people that aren't here) will wait until Sept 1 to order this set so that they can get the free VW mini and clone polybags. The Galaxy squad mech you would get ordering the ewok village before the 1st is pretty lame IMO

Grolim
There's no way you could compare these two sets. 41999 sold out in two weeks. Ewok Village will be around for two years.
sadowsk1
I don't think so. They might underestimate how many to make initially the supply will catch up to demand. I don't believe this set is being produced in a limited quantity.
MartinP
I think that the Ewok Village is going to be popular, but not as popular as the 41999. The 41999 was a limited edition and there was very few chance to get it.
jaisonline
Nope. Some people some to have forgotten the Ewoks aren't popular with many SW fans. Many fans have said the Ewok scenes ruined Jedi. Furthermore, most Ewok sets have performed so-so. For now, I say buy when discounted for building / play with kids. Children will love this set.
