JoshTX Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Here's a link to a video that shows the polybag: Quote
Veegs Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 I'd love to buy these for $3.99 and sell them for $9.99 on ebay. I love polybags! Quote
stackables Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Looks fake. Just a different head on superman fig. Quote
@rtisan Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Looks fake. Just a different head on superman fig. The one listing I found says 3 were sold. Guess we will find out if this is legit or not. I`m hoping it is. Quote
TheDarkness Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 If it is legit it is disappointing a normal Superman body was used. Quote
@rtisan Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 If it is legit it is disappointing a normal Superman body was used. As a figure I`d say this is a dud, but as a limited edition (if that is the case), somebody will want to buy one. I work at a games store in town and we sell 12oz plastic cups in lots of colors. In itself, that doesn`t mean anything, but when you consider that we sell them in packs of 15 for $20 and place them with the Beer Pong stuff, you`de be amazed at how many people buy them (often multiple packs) as opposed to going to Costco or the dollar store haha. Going back to this figure, the money is sometimes where people have no idea how to shop around or simply don`t care. It says "Limited Edition" they want it. Quote

It says "Limited Edition" they want it. It does look somewhat legit but I agree that it is dissapointing no matter how you look at it. Polybag collecting is one heck of a fad and despite being awful people will buy it just so they can say they have it. To me it's like that Uruk-hai polybag; a common character with barely any parts to speak of for $4. In spite of that, it will sell well. Quote

The "L" in Jor-El is too high and there is no light reflection on that letter despite its location. Would be nice if both of Supes parents were made available somehow. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 That would be interesting if they were fake. I wonder what the seller will produce for their buyers or if they will sell them a figure and no polybag. Quote
Blackjack Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 It looks fake, and I don't like Superman anyway Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I don't think this is fake at all...... Quote
kerrmando Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 Its not fake. Image has just been found on Lego website according to Huw over at Brickset Quote

kerrmando Posted May 4, 2013 Author Posted May 4, 2013 Gotta bribe an employee see if I can get ten or more of those... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 There is a review on The Brick Fan for the Jor-El promotional minifigure. Here you can see a comparison shot between Jor-El and the current Superman minifigure. As you can see, they are not quite the same.> 1 Quote
TheDarkness Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Yes. I actually like that their is a difference between the two figs, not just a Russel Crowe head stuck on Superman's body Quote
TheOrcKing Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Yes. I actually like that their is a difference between the two figs, not just a Russel Crowe head stuck on Superman's body I'm glad there actually is some kind of difference besides the head & hair too. From the polybag cover it looked as though there wasn't. Quote
