Jeff Mack Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 My job sends me across the pond to the UK to work with some companies we purchased a little while back. Its always fun to see how things are done in different countries. Well, luckily this year I got come over during the Olympics and got to see some of the excitement it has brought to the city. I am especially lucky that I was able to come here and finally experience Argos for the first time and grabbed a bunch of Olympic Minifigs for me and Ed. Hopefully I got enough that will allow us to get two full sets or I may have to request to comeback and finish some "work" here Quote
LegoStarWarsFan Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Hello everyone! I started collecting Lego as a child, like many people here, and lost interest as I got older. I have recently rediscovered my interest and after discovering this site have decided to both collect and invest. My main interests are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings but I do also like the odd Lego City model. I'm currently wondering whether I should purchase Tower Bridge or a couple of Helm's Deep sets so if anyone can help with that I would appreciate it. Cheers Quote
Maverick2k1 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Welcome to the site. In regards to your purchase question I think it depends on if you are getting them to collect or invest. For investment purposes I would go with helms deep as its likely to be off the shelfs before tower bridge. Quote
kerrmando Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Hey, welcome to brickpicker! I think helms deep will retire first, but the tower bridge should appreciate more in the long run Quote

Any idea when Tower bridge is going EOL? I might be able to save up enough for both anyway. I would probably invest in Tower Bridge or build one of the Helm's Deep sets and invest in the other. Quote
Blackjack Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Welcome! I'm mostly into SW and LOTR as well. It's a bit strange, because TB has been on the shelves for two years longer than HD, but it's retiring later... :/ Quote
Highlander Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Welcome, If your looking to buy the Tower Bridge Amazon it, have had it on sale the past few weeks for Quote
Darth Lego Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Welcome to the site! I'm a big Star Wars fan too. Quote

This is speculation though. Either way, the TB will be a winner, IMO. Great big and iconic set!! One of my favorite out there right now... Quote
