TheOrcKing
Check out this set that is just as old as the Death Star and will not go away!!Police Helicopter (7741)Why is this $10 set still around? Granted, it is good for the price and another Police set but why? Up until the beginning of this year, I could find a number of them on shelves at Target and Walmart, and it is available still at Lego Shop-at-Home.How is a $10 helicopter lasting as long as the $400 Death Star?!Wierd....Oh by the way, check out the new Police Helicopter (4473) for 2013.It is another airline promotional set for EVA Air, China Airlines, Air Berlin, Virgin and British Airways.I have no idea how you're supposed to get these; I don't fly or like it that much to. Rich B
It really is crazy how long that $10 helicopter has been around. My guess is that it's selling really well. You would think Lego would at least redesign it......but I guess there is only so much redesigning you can do with a $10 set.
spener90
When I saw this I immediately thought that the Death Star had made it's way onto the retiring soon list.

akohns
I feel like the made too many. Wasn't this one of the sets they were giving away with a $75 purchase at the Lego Store earlier this year?
stephen_rockefeller
No.......the one they were giving away was a polybag.

Huskers1236
I still have these at a Super Target just down the road from me. It's a nice set that goes well with the Police Station.

comicblast
Dang. I thought DS was retiring. Sigh+1. Title is so misleading! Anyways...TLG just is keeping the helicopter since it is probably a high-seller. Low cost, fairly memorable vehicle, etc....

Seems to be a bg-time seller for Lego and retailers. Target had these last yr @$7.99 during various sales. Not a bad build either for the price. redeemed763
I was curious about this set, I bought it for my nephew 4 years ago and I saw it on the shelf recently and thought to myself, "thats funny, I thought they would have discontinued that by now". CNH1974
Yes a very sneaky title to this thread. I mentioned this set on another thread last week. I have found this year is bulk lots I have been separating and I bought a boxed one at a market stall for
TheOrcKing
What a steal! http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2938157 *cough* $16.99?! What an amazing deal! I need to drive down there right now! :-S Can anyone else think of any small sets that have been around for 5 years? There was the Off-Road Fire Rescue from 2007 that was around until the end of last year but that's about it. I honestly can't think of any other set this size being around for five years. Rather impressive. Okay guys, I modified the title. I can see now how it was misleading in the first place and all I can say is my head hasn't quite been in the game lately which is kind of funny cause that is what I do for a living more or less.
