Sauromosis Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I haven't bought a lego train set yet so I don't know the radius, will my table be big enough for it and a bunch of modular buildings? Thanks. Quote
BigEZ96 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 It's possible, it'll be a short track but possible! May need to be a little creative depending on how many Modulars you have. Quote

Sauromosis Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 So maybe should I get one that's 6x8? What's ideal? Quote
Rich B Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 So maybe should I get one that's 6x8? What's ideal? 6x8 would be good. In terms of ideal, it all depends on how big a city/train layout you want. I will warn you though, once you start building it, it becomes addicting, and you'll want to continuously add more and more, which will lead to more tables etc. lol Quote
Twiddlepotts Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I just bought the Lone Ranger train set and the oval track measures 28" x 38". It is just a small basic oval. This is not a powered set but I'm sure the track is a similar size. Quote

I own the Holiday Express, but it`s all boxed up now and has never been a part of a major set up. 6x8 would be a good size I`d say based on the many photos of other people`s set ups, but it will entirely depend on how much you have to put into your lay out.
