BigEZ96 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I personally like some of the minifigs, but please give us a set with some substance. Maybe I'm missing something but other then a low price point is there anything special here? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 You're not the only one. There really isn't that much there besides the minifigures in my opinion. Some oddball parts I guess. They don't quite grab me visually and I have no idea what the scene is from the new "Man of Steel" movie. Quote
TheDarkness Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The minifigs look awesome, and I will want a Superman minifig regardless. The rest of the sets not so much. After watching the movie though, I might change my mind and buy the lot. It's the same with the Iron Man 3 sets. Quote
BigEZ96 Posted April 21, 2013 Author Posted April 21, 2013 What I'm having a hard time understanding is you have Prince of Persia which had 5 great sets including new molds, light bricks, and a castle! Now you have the Iconic SUPERMAN and this is what they come up with! Such a let down! Quote

That would be a big MOC hit. :-) Quote
TheDarkness Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Superman will sell regardless of how the set is designed Quote
whiteboy02 Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Some of the sets are ok but the Battle of Smallville is awesome I'm totally getting that set!!! Quote
Darth Lego Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The Brick Show is giving away Man of Steel Superman sets. The deadline to enter is tonight! Link. Quote
Blackjack Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The sets are awefull, but that won't stop people buying them just for Superman. I also expect the returns on these sets in a few years will be good, because of the astronomical popularity of SM. (I personally hate the character) ;D Quote
Rich B Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 I love the minifigures! What I do not love is the lack of substance as some of you have already mentioned. I would love to see a $100+ Superman set! Guess I'll keep dreaming........ Quote
exciter1 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 My favorite set of all of these is 76002 and is only $12.99. It's the only one I'm really interested in. I guess this line will be a cheap one for me to get past. Quote

Oddly enough that was the only set I found on my Wal-Mart shelves at all. They did not even have the other two. No biggie really; Target already got them beforehand as usual. It is funny for me how my Target typically gets the new stuff sometimes months to even almost a year a couple of times before my Wal-Mart does. Quote
exciter1 Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Sadly, I'll probably still wait for Amazon to mark them down a $1.50 or something. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Sadly, I'll probably still wait for Amazon to mark them down a $1.50 or something. For anything so brand spanking new, I would hold off purchasing it myself since they will be on shelves long enough to take your time and hopefully allow some kind of discount. Now if they were big selling exclusives like how The Zombies or The Orc Forge was, I would pounce on those the second I could. There are a couple of others where I just had a feeling and was glad to pick it up in the first place. These sets are not that. Quote
