comicblast
I am just curious what qualifies as a SW remake. I gave a few options above along with an example next to it.
Blackjack
I would say any set which has a vehicle or scene which has already been produced, ie ANY Hoth set, X-Wing Tank Droid.
TheOrcKing
Similiar price points don't matter since the redesign usually costs more than the original design.Names in general work, but there have been a small amount of sets with different names featuring similiar designs.Pieces used don't make a difference either. They just need to look the part basically. Here are two different versions of the Ewok Attack set. Same same and similiar design but years apart.7139 Released 20027956 Released 2011And here are two that are basically Anakin's spaceship but with two very different names, features, price and exclusivity.Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid Released 2005Anakin's Jedi Interceptor Released 2012You also have General Grevious' Starfighter that has been done like 2-3 times I think. comicblast
So are you saying TOK that a SW remake has similar aspects in the set?
TheOrcKing
So are you saying TOK that a SW remake has similar aspects in the set? Yes. This applies to any themed set really. Here's a couple more sets with completely different names and features, but the main model is roughly the same thing. Clone Scout Walker 2005 AT-RT 2013 And here's an odd one. The original had both the spaceship and cannon, but recently Lego came out with two seperate sets. One with just the fighter and the other with only the cannon. Geonosian Fighter 2003 Geonosian Starfighter 2011 Geonosian Cannon 2012

Also the TIE Fighter & Y-Wing sets are confusing. They come individually as well as in a pack with both. TLG is a mystery in many aspects of their business...
