bibious Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Thanks for the heads up. just snagged 3 of them. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I heard it got posted on slickdeals.net. Once it shows up there things usually disappear fast. Glad that I managed to jump on board for one though. Helps to balance my purchase at 24% off the other day. Quote
DominickSoldano Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 I grabbed one a day or so ago at the $51 price. Can I complain and get a refund of the difference on yesterday's purchase or should I buy another at $44 and return the $51 one? Contacted Amazon and they gave me a refund for the difference. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Good news, it's back in stock. Bad news, it's listed for $51.97. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Back down to $ 44.07 - 27% off! Get down on it! Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 And jumped right back to $51.97 already. What the heck?.... This one is giving me a migraine, where's the Advil..... Quote
Huskers1236 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Back down to $48.88. This seems to be a set that is going to do a lot of up and down. I will wait to get more when it hits the low $40s. Quote
redeemed763 Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I don't know if it will go that low, I did get one for $40, but that one got returned to Walmart (it was bought with a stolen CC) and have been looking for something that price since. Quote
Blackjack Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 This minifigure is amazing and one of my favorites. Who else thinks he is one of the best SW minifigs ever? Also, will he sell well by himself in the future? "Utinni!" Quote
Huskers1236 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yes, it is awesome, one of the few that was better in person that I had imagined. It's ability to grasp large things like you've shown was even better than I thought. Plus, he can eat minifigs whole. Quote
Rich B Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 At first I didn't like this set really, but after seeing it in person at the Lego store and seeing the Rancor figure I fell in love. I think the figure will hold decent value years from now on the secondary market. Quote
Jeff Mack Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I just finally got a few copies of this set in the past couple of weeks when there was a good sale at Amazon. I really like this set as well as Jabba Palace. To me, they are both big time winners. Quote
sadowsk1 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I also think the Rancor is incredible. I know there are a lot of people that say this set is overpriced and while it may seem like a lot, it couldn't have been cheap for Lego to produce such a quality item. I would prefer to get it on sale but if I never saw it on sale I would have eventually broken down and paid full price for it. Quote

When I saw it in the magazine, I thought, "Heck, its just another Twilight, and a lump of gray". Then I saw it in the Lego store as a display, then I really wanted it! Quote
Blackjack Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 It's too bad that it's dropping on BL to $17. It's going the way of the Cave Troll and Goblin King. Quote

Yeah, I have a feeling it will continue to drop a little until after the set EOLs in a couple years. Once the set becomes more rare, this figure will become more rare making it worth more. That is assuming Lego doesn't do a remake shortly after like they seem to do with many of the SW sets. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I think that the set being overpriced is a benefit to us (sort of). Since it is overpriced we have seen good discounts on it since it has been out. So its good in that most of the time you can get it on amazon for the price it should be. Quote
Grolim Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 The Rancor is great! Can't believe Lego didn't produce him earlier, such an iconic part of the movies. Not a huge fan of the rest of the set though. Quote
whiteboy02 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Even though I'm not a very big fan of starwars he's SO awesome!!! Quote
