8909 - Minifigures - Team GB Great Britain Olympics

Released in the UK as an exclusive set of characters for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

While not offically part of the main line but more like a sideset if you wish and had nine different characters compared to the standard sixteen, they still used the big box of 60's filled with mystery bags and had the "Minifigures" name across the label.

 

I figured since we covered the other series' it would be rude to not hold a poll for these guys as well.

We do have a lot of members living on the other side of the pond, so why not?

Are you referring to the selling of individual characters or sealed boxes?

On BrickLink, I'm seeing the characters go for $3-$6 and a box for $200-$300 on average.

They seem to be performing just okay now. Some nice characters and memorabilia from the Olympic event but they're not exactly a Robot or Spartan. I know all I would want is one complete set and that's just nine minifigures. I can't see anyone really wanting any more than that unlike the other regular series' where you want extras of different ones.

I can only fathom investing in a single box of 60 for this series and see where that goes.

Maybe two but it could be difficult to find that many buyers. Really not sure with this one.

I think figures go for about twice retail. A set of 9 roughly goes for the same amount of complete sets of 16. Around $50-60

as im new to collecting Minifigs on my travels today i came across some Team Gb and some series 8's well i bought them all (120+)

 

i know have 5 sets of Team GB and a lot of single series 8s..

 

 

what is a set of Team Gb worth
