My kids saw a couple kissing today, better show them some hardcore pornography, as there really is no difference right? Not to do so would be a contradiction wouldn't it? Honestly, how can anyone not see that there are different levels of violence. It's a scale and there is a line drawn that Lego won't cross. It's the same reason there are censorship ratings and restriction on movies and other media.

Quite honestly I would be more concerned if my kids thought swinging swords/knifes or shotting people does not produce blood. Protecting children from harsh reality is bad especially once they are around 12...

World has enough maniacs because their parents were educated and kiddo cared till they turned 21.... You do not need to show them pornography, but doing all you can to HIDE or exclude them from it is another extreme which I would not advise or use.

I heared people saying they got some SPY program on their children PC and restricting webpages and so on and on... I think that is wrong, because longer you do this more kids want it and then when they finally can do it they use excesive use of what they could not in their childhood.

It happened exactly the same with me... I was 1000% restricted to be outside longer than 22:00 until i was 18 years old... what happened afterwards? I was outside till 6 or 8 am, because I was bringing back what I missed in my childhood(teens), instead If I was allowed like everyone else to be outside till midnight or 1 am I would not do that since I would ''get it out of my system''

I think some parents here do not forsee anything for their children but are too worried if children see stuff that their parents think that they should not even if it is perfectly normal and widely known... You think your 12 year old kiddo does not know what sex is? Keep deluding yourself :)

Um, yeah, it was an analogy, not a literal example. /facepalm

I rather stick to literal examples :) analogies are nice but in the end We need examples, I udnerstand what you and others mean but in the same moment I see loads of contradictions in LEGO :P

They make Simpsons sets but use the excuse about something like Firefly not being family friendly...have they seen the Simpsons...ever... it's about dollars and cents first and about their image a close 2nd. Weird world we live in.

Of course lots of AFOL would highly appreciate a song of fire and ice/GoT LEGOs! ;-)

But I don't think it will ever happen as it is in no way for Kids (sadly).

Maybe if they just did it as castle related theme it would still sell pretty good since they could make cool stuff! (You don't need to watch it to like the LEGO Sets ;-) ), but since it will cost them lots of money just to get the legal rights to produce it...

so let us all wish for it but the only way to build it will be to make MOCs.
