Figured I should sell one of my Cloud City Fetts. The fig does a one cracked arm. If you were selling the fig, what would you try to get for it? Cheapest used one on bricklink is 1k with both arms cracked. Any help or opinions would be appreciated.

price compare on auction sites like eBay.  You can see if are are selling, how recently and if a lesser offer was accepted. My opinion, no lego figure unless solid gold is worth a grand but if someone wants to spend that money, I would sell one if I had it.  I just went through my collection to see if I had any of the rarer Star Wars figure variants. no luck.

We will get the typical increase in activity come October, but a lot have happened in the last 12-14 years, and sadly the sire didnt keep up with it. at least most that still post are core members and keep me updated on what's happening

Yeah, unfortunately, this site is pretty much dead.  I did sell the fig a long time ago.

All the younger generation migrated to discord. I prefer this format and the more experienced crowd, but theres 500x more deals, analysis on the discords unfortunately.

How to make Brickpicker great again?

I'm sorry.  My intent was not to resurrect a dead post, I normally stay with the confines of the Star Wars forum but while doing a search across the entire forums stumbled into this unanswered post.

Second, I joined this site years ago because it was the only place where I could list my small collection and see from the site's analytics what my sets were worth based on whatever data they compared over some duration greater than me looking up every set I own and see how sales are going on eBay to see if now is the time to sell something. With the loss of that capability and there is no apparent reason to suspect a modernized version to be introduced back here, all we have are to forums.  I use discord for several hobbies but not legos.  I supposed I should look to see what's out there. The Star Wars forum only has 4-6 users and I would not define any of us as active.  I don't even post very full set reviews anymore. I tend to only visit the current years projections, forecasts, or rumors post.

Well the creators are basically gone, the data that made this site good was removed a long time ago.  Can't even enter your sets anymore.  I said this place was basically a message board and one member went on a rant lol.  Truth hurts.  Even the amazon links that are generated are way out of date.  A lot of those discords site cost money and I am not sure how helpful they are.  Anyone a member of some good ones?  I have been mostly on FB but that isn't really useful for finding deals.

I gained a lot from this site.

That said, the core members imo are more experienced and bigger players relative to the discords who are newbies.

The newbies bring a lot more energy and post every little sale or strategy that they learn and discuss it with the passion that comes along with being a newbie. Every single deal (and non deal) gets posted. There also are some pretty freaking sophisticated bots built in. Its way more of a social scene.

The experienced ones here have business models that work for them and sourcing strategies that they arent necessarily inclined to share.

So it makes sense to be a quieter forum.

For deals >>> I look elsewhere

For leaks >>> I look elsewhere

For amazon/WM/ebay related issues, this place is tops, everyone is very helpful and gracious with sharing info.

Same for more mature sophisticated investing opinions. The discords are full of rookies with no real sense of the market for the most part.

I just want a better alert system that notifies me when a specific set goes on sale.  I have greatly reduced how much I buy but I do still get a couple set here and there for resale.  I have so much old inventory that I still need to move.
