supergman Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I have three of these, never opened, but was wondering that for those who have opened these, is the license plate that indicates the number loose in a parts bag or something else? Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 saw the thread up in rotation again. Thought die already. saw marks "gimme likes" fell for it. read another 6 pages. took back "like" and want this thread to die. yes I know i'm *ithing and moaning but contributing to the problem at the same time Quote

TheOrcKing Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 You started itNo, Rich B did with this thread. Haha, yep. Funny how I can recall a line from a great movie years ago yet can't remember what I just did five minutes ago. Annnnd this has become a joke thread once more. Quote
Grolim Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Thread is now locked. If you have anything interesting or news worthy to share about the 41999 set then please PM a mod or admin and they will unlock the thread for you. 3 Quote
rcdb1984 Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Not sure where to talk about this again, but if anyone has been watching, the amount of crawlers for sale is finally coming down. If you type lego 41999, it's under 100 now. The price hasn't gone up too high yet, but I'm hoping the supply and demand start going in opposite directions. 1 Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I've no idea what I had, I offloaded all 69 (job lot plus 2 of mine) of mine over the last 10 days. Glad I got rid before prices plummet further. Even though I sold my last 2 for Quote
exciter1 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Technic-41999-Exclusive-Limited-Edition-Crawler-License-Plate-only-EK-06668-/181206434602?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item2a30bec32a asking price? LOL, "Only one like this ever made!" Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 19975 What would you all say if I had that number also? ;-) Quote
MartinP Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 What would you all say if I had that number also? ;-) If that was true, then we can conclude that Lego made more than 20,000 of the 41999. IF IT WAS TRUE! Quote
rcdb1984 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 only 89 for sale. lowest its been since it first came out Quote
supergman Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Not a clue where I should post this, but I finally let my son open a 9398 truck. I've been sitting on a box of 41999's (x3) for a while and want to build one, too, so we can race. Which would you open to build? 9398 or 41999? Quote
beartrapper Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Definately a 9398. If you're thinking about opening a 41999, sell it NIB, use the proceeds to purchase a 9398 and pocket the rest. Then change out the gearing on it. Quote
Anakinisvader Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Open them all. Be a gambler. You may get license plate #00001. Quote

Then change out the gearing on it. I would do this. It would be a great way to make a profit and still be able to race it against another one. Quote
supergman Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Interesting responses, thanks! There's a TRU nearby that has another 9398 for $190 less 20%. But oh, do I want to open a 41999. Ugh. What tough life decisions! Quote
gregpj Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 41999 all the way! It's only money! Sent from my iPod touch using Brickpicker Quote
Blackjack Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Why not sell the exclusive 41999 and buy two non-exclusive edition copies of the set? Quote
M4x18 Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I have some Lego friends over here in Spain that want a 41999, I was thinking about proposing a trade involving one of my 41999 and a 10221. IMHO it'd be an almost fair trade, with me getting the better part of it, but I'd like to get your thoughts in case I'm leaving something out. The other option would be to replace the 41999 for a 10210, but then I'd have to add something to my want list. Quote
