Moving right along to the next in the Series of Minifigures that wrapped up the year of 2010.

To me, this was when character designs started to get interesting and unique.

Definitely the Spartan for me. I loved it and was fortunate enough to get one with my first purchase without bar codes or smooshing (when I was uneducated!) The Pharaoh, Maraca man and Mime round it out my faves from the set

I like this law enforcer myself. Wish I had a few for my precinct....

Hmm, this is a tough one to call. I always loved the classic movie monsters and the Vampire is really cool. Artisically, I like the Mime. Traffic Cop as Grolim mentioned is a nice take away from the usual Lego coppers in my opinion. Disco Dude is too cool to ignore! Would be great to have a bunch of the Karate Master for a dojo MOC. And I've always had an interest in anything Egyptian so the Pharaoh gets big points with me and who can forget this classic line. But which one to choose......

The Spartan was my first choice. The morocco man is a close second. He has a lot of uniqueness to him that I can appreciate.

Very true. He does stand out and is a great addition for any Wild West scene.

This series was definately a step in the right direction. I really couldn't just pick one for myself; they're all so perfect!

Series 2 is probably the best series if you ask me. Series 4 is really good as well, and a close 2nd IMO

Maraca Man for me.  Incidentally, did anyone else get an extra maraca with theirs?  I did, and it's the only CMF I've had that came with an extra part at all.

 

Series a little below average for me.  Only like a couple of others figures.

Anyway, those Maraca Men were packaged with a total of three maracas as you can see here.

Yeah I do like the cop, but after getting him, the spartan, and Maraca man I have to say Maraca is now my fav.  

 

Good to know about the extra maraca.  Was wondering if it was just mine.  Any other CMFs come with an extra part like that?

I think that is it. Every one else I looked at from Series 3 and up have no spares to spare.

These from Series 1 & 2 are the only characters to have come with an extra.

I actually opened up a S1 Cowboy, Robot, and Indian tonight for my collection as was surprised by their extra bits.  I have the ninja as well but always thought he just had double swords

I kind of thought so too. It does fit to be a double wielder that ninja, but I do remember the original image on Lego's website and he was just holding the one sword. Ah well, not really a downer though, is it? With two blades this shinobi is ready to kick ass and take names!
