Except for VIPs they are going to repackage it into one of those cheap yellow boxes ;)

Eta: instructions are up but not viewable yet. This shouldn’t be too hard to BL other than the nameplate.

the buy-in for the Yoda Saber was much lower (w/ the Mos Eisley, if I remember correctly so $350), so its after market price settled at ~$80 (US).  I think IF (and it's a big if) LUke's saber can ONLY be gotten thru the UCS AT-AT...then should the after marker price SHOULD settle on $150-ish.  That and VIP points should make the early purchase of the AT-AT well "subsidized" (about $200 off).  Also the QFLL possibilities (if Titanic is any indication) you can make another $300-$500; making it "almost" free 😜

If I can bet on it being oos on Xmas and then do a qfll, I don't mind even losing a little money on it just to get the lightsaber. A little work but I want it in my collection...

Good question.  Why hasn't anyone else asked that?

possible that

maybe no one cares

maybe no one is buying it

maybe no one is selling it if they get it

I'm buying the lightsaber on ebay : )

I'm buying retiring sets now and will buy the at at later

even if it goes for $150+?

(w CA tax that's ~$170 plus shipping...paying about $185 out of pocket for something that was "free" goes against every ounce of reseller blood in me...but that's just me)

It has a real box, so there are likely way more of this one than Yoda's lightsaber. So I'm guessing you'll be able to get it for under $100 USD after the initial rush dies down.

Interesting LEGO lowered the price on this set in the UK from 750 to 699.

Where’s the US discount?  😂. Still won’t be able to convince the wife.

with the adjustment they are paying $940 to the US $800

wish we had a large adjustment here but would rather have T Rex, Batmobile, Disney Train and other things first

No I just want the UCS AT-AT on discount. Where’s the Toys R Us bogo when you need it. I want 2013 back 😩Back in the days when you find the UCS Shuttle on Amazon for $150.

Don't believe I have ever felt compelled to say this about LEGO before - but the price of this set is truly offensive.

I'm getting this for a qfll so that I can have the lightsaber. I'm guessing that will be the cheapest way to get the lightsaber, I can wait for the set to go on 30% off next year.

That's my plan as well. Buy it for the Lightsaber promo (and the VIP points, and Christmas promo), then wait for it to go OOS and sell it again. Even if I'd only sell it for the same price I paid for it, then I'd still have both promos and the ~ 6000 VIP points ;)
