Darth Lego Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I saw this machine on Youtube and I thought it was pretty sweet. It takes awhile to make a simple Mindstorm program much less do this and build the whole machine. Amazing in so many ways and it even shoots the paper airplane at the end. Link. What do guys/gals think? Quote
comicblast Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Thought we saw this on another post since it looks familiar. Nevertheless, amazingly brilliant! Would love to make one of these. Unfortunately, I can only dream for now.... Quote
TheOrcKing Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Whoa dude. Neat! I wonder how far it throws the airplane.... I'd love to build anything similiar too, comicblast, but those Mindstorms are wicked expensive and to build like that you'd need a lot of them. That would make my wallet commit suicide! This may come across as negative but I am glad to not see another Great Ball Contraption, impressive as they are. Gets tiring of watching people play with their balls all day. ......wait, that didn't sound right. Quote

Those things cost like $200 per and you need like over 9,000 to make anything worthwhile! Plus to make something that can even come close to making paper airplanes, you need to be good at this Technic stuff, which I am not. I guess I will have to just settle for watching the videos. Quote
@rtisan Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Quite the ingenuity. That`s equally as impressive as the Ball Clock in my book, perhaps even a bit more considering the enormous amount of parts. Quote
Brick625 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS8n6WdP9qw They should make something like this out of lego, so i could use it on my dog Quote
Darth Lego Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 They should make something like this out of lego, so i could use it on my dog You have to at first train the dog which sometimes takes awhile... (: That would be a cool Lego contraption nevertheless. Quote
