Jeff Mack
Ed and I received an e-mail today from Josh at FutureAdvisor.com about getting some of our more creative LEGO builders here to build a better piggy bank. Here is the actual e-mail we received from him. If some of you are looking for a few extra bucks and think you design something that can win, it may be worth your time.I was wondering if you'd be interested in giving us a post to help promote our contest. We're offering over $2000 in prizes for a new and novel take on the old fashioned piggy bank. Naturally, we want the most creative entries possible, so we're reaching out to the Lego community since they have some of the most creative people. You can check out the contest here: http://blog.futureadvisor.com/build-a-better-piggy-bank-contest/ and if you have any questions you can contact me directly. We are just passing the message along. We know nothing about this site or contest, but I think the cash prizes are worth mentioning since you can take that money and invest again in LEGO.Sounds fun to me!! dakotahorn
The winner should be a piggy bank with small deposit slot and a larger one connected to it labeled "swear jar". Legos of course

Rich B
This sounds pretty cool, I'm curious to see what everyone comes up with. I would like to try MOC'ing something up, not sure if I have enough extra brick, and the proper colors at the moment to build a piggy bank though. redeemed763
And so many people here thought it wasn't worth while to have a bunch of friends sets on hand full of pink bricks. I'd love to see them make a piggy bank from those light bluish grey star wars pieces!

comicblast
So...Anyone put in an entry? I know I did. It was kind of crude looking, and basically looked like a regular bank, except it was a box. There was a clear tower on the side where the coin (preferably a penny) was dropped through and hit a series of blue 2x3 slant pieces until it reached the bottom. Not great, I know, but with only 24 entries, it has a chance...-ish.
