dakotahorn Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Hey guys, is anyone planning on putting in some time on ESO this christmas? You know between all the bargain hunting for LEGOs... Also please don't trash talk game if you're not interested... way too many MMO forums get ugly and ridiculous. I just wanted to see if anyone is as stoked as I am. Just trying to find peeps to hang with once it releases. Not wanting any negative arguments about what is better etc. What better peeps to hang with than my LEGO friends? Regards, Cody Quote

No idea what happened. Must have been a glitch in the system. Quote
Sauromosis Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Oh yes, I'm in. If they can keep the "soul" of the other ES games it will be the best of all time. ***Trading Imperial Shuttle for ESO gold. ;) Quote
dakotahorn Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Ha. I don't doubt it. Anyway you picked a faction yet? Old guildies and I are going to go Aldmeri Dominion. Quote

Keep your desert you foreigner. We bosmer will enjoy eating your fallen comrades. (Seriously the wood elves are cannibals. Had to start eating people after the Green Pact. Wiki it, its kinda nuts.) Morrowind - 60+ awards including PC Game of the Year Oblivion - PC Game of the Year, Xbox Game of the Year, PC Gamer #1 Game of All Time on their top 100 list Skyrim - named the Game of the Year (all platforms) by 21 different publications in 2011 That sir is what we are refering to. A lot of what they're talking about is even going over my head. I know the games they speak of, but never really played them much. Scrolls of Morrowind, yes. Oblivion, well I have it but my computer is not that good to run it. Skyrim, never touched it. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 If this becomes a World of Warcraft or other RPG game forum I might have to leave....... Quote

As a 35 year old who grew up playing all systems from the atari 2600 through the playstation 3, i can vouch that skyrim is one of the most beautiful games i have ever played. i don't play video games much anymore since i am now married with two kids, but i purchased a used ps3 along wih skyrim off of craigslist, and this past summer quickly became my "summer of skyrim". you can sit down to play for "only an hour", and the next thing you know five hours have gone by without you even realizing it. the game is very deep, but easy to navigate. if you can pick up a used version you easily get your money worth. dakotahorn Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 If this becomes a World of Warcraft or other RPG game forum I might have to leave....... Nah Stephen, I'm not looking for drama. I just posted this asking if anyone here is going to play so we can hook up in game. I will be first to support this thread being shut down if it starts any arguments. MMO forums are horrible and full of lets call them younger members and I thought this would be a great place to reach out to a crowd old enough to be investors. That's all. I hope that had some form of logic that could be followed. I might be rambling a little bit I don't know anymore lol. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 No man you are good I'm just messing around.......I don't care for RPGs but I'm sure there are alot of people do. As long as its not a post intentionally trying to stir things up we are open to posts other than just LEGO. On a related note can you make any money from RPGs? If so I might look into them lol Quote
dakotahorn Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 The short answer is yes. A few people made quite a bit of money selling digital products back in the day. I bet it would surprise you haha. Also since you're like 10 minutes from my house I may have to invite you over and get you hooked. Remember, the first times always free ;-) Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 You are in Arlington? And no I will never play an RPG, I am too busy to get sucked in to something like that.......BP and LEGO are already ruining my marriage ha ha ha!! Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Man there are more people from this area than I thought.....I play at Texas Star 2 times a week at least. Quote

Yeah I honestly think the dragon combat was one of the most "realistic combat" experience in a game to date. As realistic as I would imagine fighting a Dragon anyway. Elder Scrolls Online will fall a little more in line with a mix of Oblivion and Skyrim graphically. Still super excited. Is anyone going to play the Aldmeri Dominion? Quote
