dakotahorn
http://thebrickblogger.com/2013/03/remembering-lego-fan-mitchell-jones/ Here's a story about a young boy and his fondness for LEGOs (or LEGO bricks for you brits). Saw it on Bricklink and thought I'd share it here. I'm a brand new father of three weeks, and I will definitely have fun introducing my son to these wonderful toys. TheOrcKing
Jeeze....losing your child is the worst nightmare for any parent to deal with. I can scarcely imagine how they feel right now. I'm having a difficult time just trying to even type this. That poor sweet child. He loved his family and Lego til the bitter end. Rest in Peace, Mitchell Jones. Talon
Mitchell lived just a few minutes away from me here in Utah. His life and what a wonderful boy he was is a big story here. It is nice to see inspirational stories get published even in the face of tragedy, but it is much more difficult for me to read stories like Mitchell's now that I have four children. It truly is amazing what great examples many children are when faced with situations that would overwhelm most adults!
Rich B
So, soo heartbreaking to read this. I feel so bad for him. I am glad that he was able to enjoy Lego the way he did during his time here on Earth. Rest in peace little fella........
Alcarin
So sad... But maybe now he has unlimited LEGO and no pain to deal with...
dakotahorn
So sad... But maybe now he has unlimited LEGO and no pain to deal with... Definitely. His parents will be the ones who need prayers. Glass half full, they knew he was leaving soon, and it really looks like they took advantage of every moment. comicblast
Very touching story. Also really sad, makes you stop and think about the things that you and I are so fortunate to have.... A very humbling story.
dunkers97
So sad... But maybe now he has unlimited LEGO and no pain to deal with... I hope so... LEGOS in heaven would be awesome!!! And then no pain so stepping on them in the middle of the night when you're trying to get to the bathroom won't matter!!! ;)
