hashcheck Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I am 33yr old and only collect technic sets i feel they are better suited towards older gen due to cost! at 10-14yrs old rarely would parent spent $200+ on the bigger sets. As an adult i can get all the sets i dreamed of when i was a kid. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Aren't you mistaking ? It can't be a "discount" at that price, since the RRP is $129.99 on the lego shop. TRU pricing. Quote
legone Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Those helicopters may have been restocked, but very unlikely. I can see the number of Crawlers and even Crane II on shelf slowly dwindling, but not the helicopters. And I put "clearance" in quote because 18% off is not clearance to me :) Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I have bitten, and got one. As I am starting my technic diversification. First time I have tried the Asda click and collect service. With click/collect, you can always reject on the spot if the box is damaged. I already have one of these built that I use the terrorise the cats in fhe garden and one boxed. I prefer it to the 41999 TBH. Quote
Sauromosis Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 What is the range of the remote control? If I take this out on the driveway will the wheels get scuffed up? Quote
gorbasho Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 What is the range of the remote control? If I take this out on the driveway will the wheels get scuffed up? It's infrared so not very far. Maybe 15 feet and you have to be pointing directly at the receiver. It's slow enough that driving on flat concrete should not wear the tires too much, but I haven't tried. It does roll over quite easily when climbing obstacles though so be aware of that if you don't want it scuffed up. Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm assuming it has the same power functions as the 41999? 1 Quote
Quacs Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 I'm assuming it has the same power functions as the 41999? It does, except 41999 has two additional power functions - the winch and the head lights. All other power functions are the same between the two models. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Saw one for 160 at TRU worth it? If you use the coupon then yes . Quote
No More Monkeys Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Keep in mind though that people with TRU CC and with discounted GC and with 20% off coupon can do way better than $160 on Thursdays Quote
exciter1 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I calculated it out for another member: 160.98 - 20% ($32.19) $128.78 - 10% ($12.88) $115.90 plus tax Use discount gift cards for additional savings. ...and yes, it's dumb they take the 10% off after any and all other discounts. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Keep in mind though that people with TRU CC and with discounted GC and with 20% off coupon can do way better than $160 on Thursdayshow so?? Quote
exciter1 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I think he's saying to use all the options listed, do not just settle for $160 and 10% off on Thursday. Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 So what's the best 160 -10% - 20%? Thursday is 20% Cpn then 10% CC , then GC after tax Quote
