TheOrcKing
A special editon Blu-Ray+DVD+UltraViolet combo pack will be available from Target stores on March 19th and will retail for $24.99. You can preorder it from their website here. I found this from an article on The Brick Fan a week or so ago and everytime I try and post it something always distracts me! Snowcrash
I'm still waiting for the extended edition that will undoubtedly be released in November ahead of Desolation of Smaug. You can't trick me with a slick minifig!
Studebricker
It seems odd they would include an "exclusive" minifig that looks fairly common, like one that would show up at a later time. At least with the SW "exclusive" figs, they have always been scene-specific outfits, etc.
comicblast
Like Luke, Han, with Medals. Anyone know about the Empire Strikes Out movie what makes the Darth Vader fig "exclusive"?
spener90
I'm still waiting for the extended edition that will undoubtedly be released in November ahead of Desolation of Smaug. You can't trick me with a slick minifig! I would get it if it was with the 3D version. Extended editions never really do it for me, they usually include things that are better off left out of a movie.
Blackjack
Why would the general public want a Lego minifigure?
comicblast
Because they are getting more than just a DVD. Everyone loves free stuff! Even if its something that is utterly useless to you...those companies are tricky!
Grolim
Thanks for the heads up. Doubt they will have the minifigure version in my country so just ordered one.
Blackjack
That Bilbo is uber cool looking though I have no reason why. :D
whiteboy02
I wonder how much he'll be on Bricklink?
TheOrcKing
Like Luke, Han, with Medals. Anyone know about the Empire Strikes Out movie what makes the Darth Vader fig "exclusive"? This one has Darth Vader wearing the medal he gets at the end of the animated special. Here's the point of the vid on youtube. (quality kinda stinks)
TheOrcKing
I'm still waiting for the extended edition that will undoubtedly be released in November ahead of Desolation of Smaug. You can't trick me with a slick minifig! Yeah, I got sick and tired of that when they first released the Lord of the Ring flims! First they release the theatrical version, then they go and release the ULTIMATE COLLECTOR WHOOPEEDOO VERSION WITH OVER 500 HOURS OF BONUS FOOTAGE AND SPECIAL FEATURES!!!! It seems odd they would include an "exclusive" minifig that looks fairly common, like one that would show up at a later time. At least with the SW "exclusive" figs, they have always been scene-specific outfits, etc. He does appear that way. What can I say, it's Bilbo alright. Extended editions never really do it for me, they usually include things that are better off left out of a movie. I never really go out of my way to get the special editions. Most of the time they just add in an extra five minutes of deleted scenes that don't contribute much. Thanks for the heads up. Doubt they will have the minifigure version in my country so just ordered one. Always glad to help.
TheOrcKing
For anyone curious, here are two images showing what the front and back of the exclusive Bilbo Baggins looks like.
dunkers97
Is this EOL already? It was only out for like 10 days about, seems kinda short doesn't it?

dunkers97
I think the market will probably get flooded with them and the price will drop dramatically.

Plus, they were only available for a very, very, limited amount of time.

JoshTX
As of yesterday, they still had a couple copies of that version at my local Target. I passed on it because I already have the Blu-Ray 3D version and wasn't too incredibly concerned with the minifig.
Darth_Raichu
Looks like I can get this figure for $10 on ebay. What am I missing ?
