Popular Post keymomachine Posted February 18, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 18, 2022 PXL_20220215_034310650.LS_2.mp4 I made this goofy spin art rig. I first built it with an M motor and then yoinked one of the L motors out of the Stunt racer and added more gearing. In the tradition of Tim the Toolman Taylor I grunted and then added the second L motor and got it going really fast. I gave it a bit of an enclosure and made a new lighter turntable from foamcore. I clocked it at about 1000 rpm with a strobe tachometer app on my phone. Going to set it up with a splatter box and drop a bit of paint on it with my daughter tomorrow. 12 Quote

Mark Twain Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 How awesome and mind numbingly silly is this-- a dude wired a tiny brick as a very small monitor then played Doom on it! 1 2 Quote
keymomachine Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Today I used a Lego part, https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=bb0219 one of the pieces that holds the train tracks together in the package, as the basis for a replacement part for my the power switch on my coffee grinder. I had to drill out the center with a 1/16" bit and then used my drill as a microlathe to cut off the flange and round the end of the part. 3 Quote
