Is it me or is this a meh event?

For investment, absolutely. The GWP sets are not at all exciting and the sale sets are either duds or have been around forever. I like the EKTO but after such a long run, the upside feels limited.

Personally, getting Eldorado at 20% off plus the one GWP plus double points isn't bad. Now if only it wasn't marked as "exclusive" and 15% rakuten would apply...

Exactly what I did, hadn't pulled the trigger on Eldorado Fortress yet. Was bummed about 15% rakuten too... but then randomly checked Honey and they offered me $30 back through paypal. Hadn't used Honey in awhile so YMMV, but I took a shot on that over Rakuten

Honey has some good offers on these things, comes out to about 15% each. I'm going to grab the Loop Coaster with $50 back.

So, I can't seem to find how to redeem my lego points for a $ discount.  Can someone please point me to where it is on the rewards page?  I didn't realize they changed the way the rewards page shows itemsnow and not a better view IMO, especially since the $ discount section used to be at the top but now appears to be missing... but I'm likely just missing it somehow?

<edit> never mind, I found it.  It's on the checkout, but instead of being in the payment step (which most other websites do) it's in the cart before clicking checkout.  Apologies for the bother

On a similar note, I am curious now, when using reward $ I noticed that it impacts the sales tax charged.  Does anyone know if using the reward $ impacts the GWP thresholds as well?  For example, if I order a $200 item but use $50 rewards $, would the winter train @ $170 GWP promo no longer apply?  Thx!

It’s never impacted the GWP price threshold in the past.

I had mixed exclusive and non-exclusive orders, but I have 15% Rak cash back coming for the full subtotal amount.

Thx, I didn't actually try it myself.  I purchased an item that was < $170 to start so I didn't have any GWP to boot.  It just got me thinking when I saw the sales tax impact and nothing else struck my fancy to give it a shot.  Thx!

Took me about 10min to get onto the site, and then bought the AT-AT right away no issues - with the 2 GWPs. I also added an old blue VIP minifig key-chain code from last year that still seems to work (I had a bunch of them).

This morning I received a Rakuten email saying I qualified for $68 from my order. I assumed the AT-AT would only generate 3% cash back, not 10%, since it's a 'Hard to Find' item? Possibly an error on Rakuten's end that will be corrected eventually before they payout?

Don’t redeem lego points for money off your purchase during double vip, get those double points :)
