Darth Lego Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Hi all, After I got done playing my trumpet the other day I thought of an idea. Lego should make instrument sets. These wouldn't be minifigure size, but life size. You could display them in a case and Lego could offer different instruments. I added some pictures I've found of instruments people have made. Pretty cool looking if you ask me. I then thought of two cons relating to this idea. 1. Limited Market People will probably only buy it if they are a Lego fan and play the instrument making the potential customer pool smaller. 2. Unique parts If for example they made a trumpet, it would probably require new parts. This equals a higher cost initially to make the set. What do you guys think? Quote
Maverick2k1 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I wouldn't buy it, at that point most people would probably buy the real thing to display. It would be a very very niche market and doubt it could draw the sales to justify making them into sets. Quote

TheOrcKing Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 It is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure what the final price point of such a build would be. Like Maverick2k1 said, at a certain point and depending on the instrument the build is based on a person could just buy the real thing.Don't know though. I would like a snazzy looking Gibson Flying V on the wall! Quote
