Liked the episode much more than the first few episodes, but the "this is the way" line is getting old and over used.

I prefer it over a long ass flashback explanation

If Boba Fett has a similar saying:

Frennec: "Boba, how did you get out of the Sarlacc Pit"

BFett: "I had to do what I had to do" (Save 30 minutes of flashbacking)

"Boba, whats your relationship w/ the Sand People"

""I had to do what I had to do" (Save 3 episodes of painful flashbacking)

Oh my, the best sci-Fi series of all time.

Did you watch "The Plan?" That was my only disappointment that resulted from BSG.

Definitely my top 2.  The Expanse is the other one.

They did such a good job visualizing The Expanse. Helped me understand the books. Really need the last books done too.

I did, but it’s been a long time. I did watch “Caprica”, which I also thought was good.

For me Star Trek: The Next Generation would be far superior

When I was younger I liked TNG, but over time I liked Deep Space Nine more.  DS9 had planned story arcs that built over time.  Many hints of what to come were planted in earlier episodes, making rewatch more enjoyable & rewarding.

Agreed. In the age old question of Kirk vs Picard, I usually have no problem answering Sisko.

I really like Deep Space Nine until the last season.

Yay LEGO!

Sorry for the off-topic post. I watched the original BSG as a kid. Is the new (not so new anymore) worth me watching?

Oh yes! Some great writing.  Highly recommended. The CGI in some shots with the centurions doesn't hold up that well though. You may as well start binging it now.

Since we are still hijacking this thread,  I would also recommend Babylon 5.  Seasons 1-4 were great and kind of unpredictable.  There were multiple threads of stories as should be in a huge space station with hundreds of different alien races living in there.  Characters were flawed but written well.  Season 4 finale wrapped up about 95% of the storylines and one of the best series endings out there.
Unfortunately, they got picked up for season 5 and the tone of the series shifted. I know some people like season 5 + spinoffs but I can only recommend seasons 1-4.

Some episodes were good but it was a bit too Coronation Street (soap opera) for me.

It was a really good show. It’s a shame how they shot the CGI in such away that they can’t update it to HD.

I found The Expanse intriguing. With the Battlestar Galactica remake, I had to disassociate that well away from the original considering the direction it took. Even then, I kind of enjoyed it. Firefly and Serenity were exceptional, reminiscent of Starhunter.

I always heard how good Firefly was but I have avoided watching it so far.  I was afraid of liking something so short lived.  I need to just watch it and enjoy it for what it was. :D

Yes! Do it!

I introduced Firefly to my 14yo daughter and she loves it. She likes how smart the writing/dialogue is. We're currently four episodes in. I'm bracing myself for the sadness she's going to feel once we finish the season and movie.

If you do end up watching it, look up the correct episode order.  They weren't released in chronological order and they may or may not be correct on your streaming service.

Oooo....I should do this with my 14 year old.  I bet she'd love it, too.

I watched Serenity without watching Firefly first and I remember enjoying the movie.
