Ya, I'm probably being overly optimistic here. Upon closer inspection, that flap in "1" looks super thin, and in "2" it seems pretty flat and not protruding out like a thick high-quality box.

Oh well, hope for the best and always expect the worst from our dear friends at LEGO.

There was a cardstock insert with a QR code to the digital instructions in those sets but that's it. 

The building steps look more like the ones you get with official Lego sets as you can see when comparing for example the images showing which bag number to use and the flip symbol. The previous program clearly looked like they were done from Studio.
