Stonewars has a pretty good track record, recent mistakes notwithstanding. the basis is that they saw the phrase "Police station" tagged on the youtube sneak peak vid and then removed Quote

redghostx Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Is that a building plus a Micro-apartment? Hopefully those can be removed and stuck in my slums. 3 1 Quote

MotorCityMuscle Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 They should turn this line into an ideas submission and community vote. The police station up on ideas with the full fledged donut shop and several others are much better than this. The design team is starting to lack on the modulars me thinks. And no police car? Quote

I don't see them opening this up to community votes . . . Lego understands the modular community's desire for a brothel too well and doesn't want to be reminded. As for the set, it's fine. Ho hum, but fine. There are certainly much more imaginative sets, like the Car Wash music store modular, but there's also a design aesthetic that I don't see the theme veering too far away from anytime soon. Quote

Oh it most likely won’t happen but I’m starting to think the community is more creative and imaginative than the LEGO design team at this point. suppose my thought was LEGO could say, we want our next modular to be a police station. Then there is a submission in ideas for say 6 months, let LEGO weed out the bulls**t and then let the community vote for the next 6 months or so. you’re right it will never happen. Just feel like there is so much more that could happen with these sets. 2 Quote

Last years had same amount of minifigs. 4 hours ago, MotorCityMuscle said: I was going to post that image yesterday but thought no way that could be it. What a s***ty modular. I like it and more in line with the classic looking modulars unlike that horrendous diner. It will fit nicely next to the bookshop. Jamie is known for his details so the inside may be very intricate. Let’s give it a chance at least? 1 Quote

redghostx Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 I really like the main building, but I think they should have just gone with that one and made it bigger and better. I hate the Canadian price and I'll have to wait for the border to reopen before buying this one. Quote
BricksBrotha Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 As a modular collector and investor, I am conflicted. On one hand, I appreciate the unique design and ability to blend with basically the entire line. Both a huge pro. On the other hand, I am uncertain about the need for a Police station. Also, the tri-building design with a center larger building and two narrow builds, appears to be built on a single base plate. I am interested to see the instructions/more pics. Curious if all three connect with a technic pin or are built together. IMHO if one single build, that would be a big miss. Quote
legopocalypse Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Take away the figs and police sign and you can’t even tell it’s a police station 3 Quote
redghostx Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Take away the figs and police sign and you can’t even tell it’s a police stationOur police station in our suburb is a similar design. You can't tell it's a police station without the round police ball sign out front, and it also isn't easily wheelchair accessible, like this one. Quote

MotorCityMuscle Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Hopefully there is a strong GWP on this one. Otherwise let’s hope it goes 30% next Black Friday. Quote
Zepp Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 I noticed the new style black box with the title "Modular Buildings Collection". Anyone taking bets that they will re-release all the past sets in this new style box, as part of the "Collection" and bring them out of retirement? Quote
