on eurobricks all the speculation points to a quidditch related set as one of the new sets. The background on this collage confirms that. hopefully its just a lesson and not a full quidditch set.

That would be a big bummer.

Lol, Ninjago, Star Wars, Harry Potter.  It is clear what LEGO want the buyers to do

good point...altho this overlaps into "retiring soon" thread...if it's similar to Star Wars Anniversary series...we can expect the cheaper sets to retire sooner and the expensive sets to linger

Lego on Twitter

I imagine these minifigures will be in LEGO's pearl gold color or possibly gold plated at best. I cannot see them being made from actual gold unless they are going to be that limited with a chance of a set even including one.

Can you imagine the number of returns people would make if this was a "search-for-the-golden-ticket" type thing? I am figuring this will be just like the current Ninjago line of golden figures.

Pics are up, https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-harry-potter-2021-hogsmeade-und-kammer-des-schreckens/

It's not clear to me if these sets can join up with the old ones although its clear they can be combined within themselves. The color scheme is slightly different as well. Happy to finally get Fluffy!

Not a Harry Potter fan at all but I would buy Hogsmeade just to integrate with the Winter Village sets. Looks great without being particularly Harry Potter-centric.

Tbh I didn't expect them to look this good. The modular style there going for now really is a good idea. The hate the initial preliminary pics got was crazy and now the majority of people have now changed there minds and love them.

The great hall looked like a sure thing at one point and now I hate to say it but it could be one of the worst performers on the hp line. I just can't see it getting close to or above the cost of this one.

Looks like they're using the modular type of builds that the Disney Princess line did a few years back. I really like those. But I can also see the technic pin holes on the great hall set, so I think they might still have that connection as well.

I am quite peeved that they don't exactly match the other round of sets. However, it could still work. These are definitely have more of a playable set characteristics than the previous releases.

Overall, It's annoying that it will probably tank the other sets that were just released, but I think there could be a market for them depending on what they do and don't release. Quiddich and Whomping willow might do better, it just depends on what they next round of themes are going to be.

Can you imagine the possibilities if Lego decided to do these "megafigures" for Star Wars?

Boba Fett/Captain Rex/Darth Vader/you name your character that has a helmet and they would be great.

The flat faces frighten me. Some things shouldn't be scaled.

Look under Hermione's face, there is a definite shadow on the chin.  Wonder if they came up with a new slope piece for a face so that it was rounded and not a printed/stickered flat piece.  I personally think they look great.

I wanna see a brick built Bellatrix with her wand, Hagrid or Dumbledore will be interesting as well.
