I bought this today assuming had long been opened. Then looking closer I notice the tape –very yellowed and poorly aged– hasn't been cut. This does not look like something that would have been at retail but since I don't know how these were originally packaged and sold in 1977, I figured I'd ask you experts before I open it up. On the unlikely chance this is actually legitimately sealed.
Thanks for the help. I've been a long-time LEGO fan and a casual collector. It's always nice to learn more about my one of my favorite companies.
