brickvoyeur Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) So there are a ton of these listings, pictures show them with Lego stamps. But it's only ever Darth Vader parts. There have been a good deal of sellers dumping these "genuine" parts on eBay. My assumption is that someone found themselves a copy of a Darth Vader mold and is distributing them. And based on sold listings... they're selling a decent amount of them. Any chance that Lego actually made this many random translucent Darth Vader figures? Edited July 10, 2020 by brickvoyeur Quote
MarleyMoose Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 (edited) I'd say most definitely a recovered mold. But who knows. There are similar translucent minifigure parts being sold out of Singapore. Some Ebay sellers are calling them prototypes. Edited July 10, 2020 by MarleyMoose Quote
MarleyMoose Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Did a little more research and these may be from "rogue" employees making their own parts after hours to sell. Quote
minicoopers11 Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 Yeah I've read the prototype story somewhere in comments on a facebook post. Story is LEGO deemed these not good enough quality for production...way too much breakage. Quote
