maybe this a taboo subject..  but is anyone that is ungated in lego on Amazon willing to work with me on dropshipping some sets? (as in you list, you sell, i dropship)

The price difference between Amazon and Ebay is a but nuts right now.

i mean why fight the beast when we have the resources for everyone to make some money on the deal..

To me, it seems that sales have slowed. Either that, or I sold through the more popular sets, and now have the less desirable sets for sale. I basically sold all of my very large sets, which was the goal.

i'm literally sold out of everything other than some retired minecraft sets.

the jurassic stuff could have sold 100x over.

problem is there is nothing to buy. no offers anywhere.

I agree...prices have dropped a bit on some midsized sets. I suspect better weather and more places opening up. That, or people are getting laid off and not spending as much.

Things are still going mad crazy on my end.

I would certainly expect that things will start slowing down (as restrictions begin to lift).

But I do think that there are many people who have gotten hooked over the quarantine - many of which will be sticking around.

I agree....and I know I could be doing more, but there's only so many hours in the day and only so much one man can do. I'm lovin' this! We should be able to squeeze the equivalent of two Christmas season's this year! But like everyone is saying, sourcing is becoming even more challenging right now.....which Mack Brother said that 20% is the new 40% these days?!

I’ve sent about a dozen orders overseas in the last month through freight forwarders or eBay’s GSP. Lots of people buying bulk to resell in their country as restrictions aren’t easing up as fast elsewhere.

Posted

i'm creating shelf space by unloading large sets. SO and OOS/Backorder sets which we KNOW will come back, or are sitting at a closed LEGO shop are even being bought up. No point in holding onto them if I can markup by 100 bucks off retail and refill after the wave is over.

This is bananas..I keep raising prices but the selling doesn't stop.

Sleeping while having listings over different venues has become dangerous as runs start on certain sets. A perk to being sleep deprived with a 2 month old. I spend the entire feeding raising prices.

I picked up a Disney castle 71040 a week Ago for my kids with a lot of lego we bought for $200. I checked recent used ebay sales on the set and it’s selling just under $500. I can’t decide if I should sell it or keep it due to these crazy prices. After my fees and shipping it will still be the same price as buying it new with tax, so I’m thinking no, but my husband says sell it and hope we find One another day. (It’s not a must have for me as it does not fit our display well) what do you think with these crazy prices?

Now is the time to be selling....some believe (as I do), there will be a buying time coming soon

I think if you are posting this question on this site and on this particular thread, its likely you are already leaning towards one direction over the other. I'd go for the sale now if you can make it work in your favor.

I listed it :) thanks. I like money, and It did not really fit my lego display themes anyway. Plus I never hated a vacation more than our family’s nightmare trip to Disney haha.

I never once thought I would be selling multiple sets on eBay per day at x2-x6 retail price, but here I am. Bricklink is popping as well.

My expectation is that like with the corona virus, this sudden surge in demand isn't going to go away very soon.

Demand may not go away, but money will.
Then they’ll try to return it so they can buy groceries.

Yesterday, I tried to buy a sub $200 Chromebook in store at Walmart.  They had zero.  Not just sub $200 Chromebooks, but every laptop they were sold out of.  I asked if other stores were like this, and they said yes.  I checked the Seeker of the Brick, and discovered it's true - I couldn't walk into a store anywhere nearby and pick up a decently priced laptop.  The tech guys told me it's been nuts - everyone is bored, and they're buying things to occupy the time.

My neighbors went out today to buy a trampoline for their little girl.  They couldn't find one anywhere.  They even tried an online trampoline dealer, and were told they were sold out.

Just two examples, but to me, it's just indicative of what I think we're going to experience for awhile.  We're locked down.  People are BORED.  Even when things open back up, we're still going to see this.  And we've got serious supply chain issues that are going to take a long time to fix.

Those willing to risk will be greatly rewarded.  I think if you're willing to wait until Q4, you might find great reward - especially if a second stimulus package gets passed.  There could be money to burn, and no where to spend it, and very little stock to spend it on.

Workout equipment is the new TP. This weekend I listed some extra weights and a rowing machine on FB marketplace and the responses were fast and furious. Within an hour everything was spoken for. One guy told me that it is impossible to buy weights anywhere due to the shutdown because so many people that normally go to gyms are looking.

Yeah, I sold a squat rack and about 400 pounds of plates for $300 in January (clearing space). Last week, I found an extra 30 pounds of plates and within five minutes, they were sold on FB for $40. He said my original sale would have gotten me well over $1,000 right now.

Weights are impossible to find. (Check out prices for Bowflex adjustables)
