rentabrick Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I was really surprised to find this site and I already love it. I collect LEGO and I appreciate to have another source for actual prices. In the next weeks I want to start with my shop where you can rent LEGO Sets in Germany (especially the high value sets like the Star wars UCS models and buildings and monuments that aren't available anymore). So it's good to know the actual value of these sets. Happy collecting Jens PS: please excuse my poor english language knowledge Quote
daveblok Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Hello Jens, Interesting to hear someone has Lego's for rent. Please mail me your link when your site is "on air" Regards Dave from Holland Quote
comicblast Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Though "renting" expensive Lego sets, or even non-expensive ones may be a good idea. Many parents notice that their kids build it once then put it aside. If the can rent it just for the building experience, it could work out! If only there was a bit of research on this... Quote
comicblast Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 Also, his picture says "RENT A BRICK", so I think that he is really talking about renting. I think it is a great idea! When you buy the set, you get to build it first then rent it out to other people!!!! Quote
Darth Lego Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 If you rent the set to other people, won't pieces go missing? I just don't see how someone would keep track of what pieces go missing. However, it sounds like a great idea. Welcome to the site... Quote
rentabrick Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 Hello everybody, thank you for your replies. I really mean rent a brick. I always wanted to build the BIG models like the UCS Milenium Falcon but could not afford them. Now I can buy them and I have thought that many people don't want to (or can) spend 500 to 1500$ or Quote

rentabrick Posted February 23, 2013 Author Posted February 23, 2013 In the beginning I will only offer the large scale models and sets above ~120$/ ~100 Quote
comicblast Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Sorry for this thread dig, but I came across someone renting large LEGO sets on Chicago Craigslist: Seems like these things are getting more and more popular, but I doubt their success. It's just very tedious to build then immediately dismantle. My nails already beg for mercy after taking apart 200 bricks. How about 2,000? Quote
choppers605 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 welcome to the site, a lot can be learned here! Quote
comicblast Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I guess better 5 months late than never... Quote
