Just now, $20 on joe vs dan said:

a good test of this theory will be Mos Eisley Cantina release

I'd say there is significant difference in "willingness to part with (all) your money for buying IP-related stuff" between Potter fans and Star Wars fans. So, in the end the Cantina could even sell out ALTHOUGH people have no money left...

That Lego estimated the forecast appropriately.

And this set is absolutely massive, in a great way, but its a beast after seeing it on display at a local store.

According to the feedback on the German product site some people especially dont like two major flaws of the set: "Gringotts" is fundamentally missing and the amount of stickers is massive. If this was a $200 set, maybe these weaknesses would be easier to swallow, but at $400, well...

I was able to stop in my local LEGO store today. It had 21 Hagrids still sitting behind the desk and a bunch of the polybag. I wonder what that will be down to after the weekend. There were no Burrows in stock, and one of my purchases included the last two Hedwigs. Quidditch Match was marked 20% off.

Speaking of the Burrow and Stickers. My set has one of the worst die cuts ive seen. Its borderline unacceptable. Ivr had to place stickers offcenter so the print is centered.62c332daa9ddb4f3f107865c1f3fe18e.jpg

Where do you see the piece count?

Lego in china is really expensive, by and large rrp is the lowest in the states I believe. Where I live the rrp can be 30% higher than surrounding countries and the US, I'm lucky that it's relatively easy to buy from the various amazons.

Any word yet on Monster Book of Monsters 30628 US availability? I've seen a few LEGO discovery center nabs including the nebulon but nothing in mainstream retail yet.

Local discovery center told me it would be an upcoming GWP at regular lego store soon... ??? but who knows

^ old seal codes and you find amazon listing by scanning barcode, I didn’t get any results by typing Lego + set number either

You mean, make me go find one?

Well, that search didn't work either.  I'm surprised at the number of people that don't realize their listings are not searchable.

It looks like any other listing on sellercentral and you go directly to the listing by clicking the link there.

I meant from a "customer" perspective.

I found about a dozen when I was deciding which sets to send in this year.  If someone has a bullet-proof way to get Amazon to fix a listing, please post it.  In my experience, it takes a ticket or two to get them resolved and is usually caused by a listing not having a "node" attached.  I believe it's a second-level help request.

They won't help you "before" you send the inventory in, but they can fix the listing if its not searchable once you do have your inventory in.  Just takes once phone call.
