Actually I agree alot with you. The only thing That disturbs me a bit is 2 things (which i would love your opinion also) 1. Alot of people ''complained'' or expressed negative views on ''mixed'' battle packs consisting of both sides (many prefer pure ones) 2. The stationary cannon seems alot less appealing than the movable mech in 8014 (this is my view though) Would not 7913 be then a better investment than 9488 ?

1. It's a fair point and difficult to know how it will affect popularity, given this is only a recent move. Personally of the two latest sets I think the clones set will do better than the Endor set. If it was 2 standard clones and 2 standard battle droids it would certainly be less appealing, but the inclusion of two different, well-executed elite clones helps its cause a lot in my view.

2. Yes I agree with that as well and I don't think it will appeal as much as 8014, which is a very good investment for a small set, but I still see people buying multiple copies of this set, whereas I see that happening less for 8083/8084. If you're building a Hoth battle scene, you have a variety of choices to build Rebel and Imperial forces and much less in the way of complementary vehicles.

I think 7913 is a good investment, but it depends if you can find them at a decent price. In the UK, they started out for sale at

Well someone brought up the mixed emotions about the 'mixed' battlepacks and I agree. I really dislike the way how those are setup anymore. Not much of a battlepack at all, you end up with just as many generals or commanders as you do of regular soldiers. How exactly is that an army builder? An army of commanding douchebags? Yeah, let me know how that works out for ya. Before, you would get four characters for one side. Two soldiers, a special forces unit, and a commander (or a similiar kind of setup in diversity of units). If you bought so much as four of these, you'd have an actually diverse army! Now, you end up with a bunch of the same couple of smucks on either side. Oh joy....

Looks like everyone is getting promoted and then sent to the front line.
