Why everybody is buying the Batmobile?

is it because its new? or because of the small set? or the small set + the tree?

If you deduct the small batman set + the tree its still probably 80% RRP and you should be able to get it cheaper in few months. Secret?

Oh look, no Falcon sale. This either isn't actually happening or it's going to b e a five minute Lightning Deal at 6am or something. Or I'll go to bed and it will happen five minutes after.

I had points to use, I wanted a batmobile and I wanted free gifts with it. Just that simple for me lol

The small batmobile has potential to be scarce and highly sought after is probably the main reason.

Next is that the set is pretty damn cool. On my birthday i built the mustang. Around Christmas i will build this batmobile...gotta treat yo self

Because we did not read the 124 pages of the Tumbler thread.

way different IMHO...not a big batman fan but I am excited as all get out for the Batmobile......and I had zero interest in the Tumbler beyond "well thats kinda cool"

And that sums it up....the Tumbler is cool.....the '89 Batmobile is iconic and the mini one will bring some big bucks on its own

I have very fond memories of the Tumbler. Bought dozens of those, Red Five, Ewok Village when Amazon had it up for $120. That was a good 3-4 months for me :)

Date and Time had passed for MF Our-Mom-Ageddon and the profits were wrong.

Nothing to see here.  You can go to sleep now.

I am in hawaii so its only 10pm...I'll keep watch ??

Also isn't "watch upcoming deal" thing supposed to avoid surprises?

My "Upcoming Deals" page on Amazon goes all the way until 11pm tomorrow night, so unless they are planning to drop this thing an hour before Black Friday ends it's either going to be a lightning deal or not happening at all. Either way I guess I can't pull an all-nighter waiting for either of those outcomes so good luck to everyone!

The "spend $50 and get a future 20-percent off coupon" thing is live at target.com.

"Today only, get a 20% off coupon via email when you spend $50, good to use on a future Target purchase 12/3–12/14."

And the new Mandalorian episode is live (at 3:15 a.m. Central).

But I bet the 20% off coupon will exclude Lego as usual...and I can't find the terms.

I wonder when the action will start? I would have thought to see a few deals starting to pop up. Hopefully we didn’t already get all the best deals during these past few weeks.

It seems like the LEGO site is working well again and they still have the train

I had the same thought earlier! So I went back and looked at my Amazon Lego history from last Nov onwards (and Walmart, till they blocked me from pickup in Dec), and some other things like that Michael's Kids 30% off on Kessel Run MF, Passenger Train, Boost etc.

It turns out that most of the deals began sometime on late Sunday, Cyber Monday (like the big Technic Ferrari) and continuing sporadically through to about 15 Dec.

For that matter, it looks like a lot of the Amazon "deals" in the last few weeks and right now--excluding the 10 off 50 promotion--were about 10% less during this Prime Day -- got the Ninjago City Docks then for $144.

So far, other than the SAH doorbusters, Macy's and Kohl's (with Kcash) plus cashback seem to have offered the best "Black Friday" deals and they had quite a few sets which otherwise retired in July in stock (Power Miners, Friends Car series, etc.)

anyone else surprised to still see docks and train available?

Not popular I guess or way too many produced.

I love Lego, trains, and Disney parks...and even I am somewhat hesitant to buy, even at 30% off. But I did, obviously!

Basically just a rich kid's toyset....
