bobbygamequest
I'm curious to see everyone's perspective on long term potential of Lego Dimensions Starter Sets All formats, as well story, level, and team packs. Anyone buying and keeping for long term or selling now. I picked up a big lot of them a while back and making money on them just wondering if I should keep raising the price or leave them at current levels since it looks like i'm the only one left with any stock now. I'm considering some of it bulk as well. Since I want to free up some cash flow too.
brickvoyeur
Some of the figures sell well such as Sonic. But there is little long term potential for discontinued games played on mediums that are quickly being replaced as Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony battle for supremacy. $20 on joe vs dan
as a collector I find the unique minifigures interesting...but I would only pay a premium for a piece I am a fan of...obviously the value drops of the figures a re-made and available elsewhere. I am seeing a lot of Dimension sets and packs on CL and offerup; clearly folks have been gobbling up at sales racks

Not gonna hold though as I don’t think there will be much of a market for them after this Christmas season. I’d price above average. Mark Twain
I’ve bought and resold all of mine quickly. There may be some demand for them down the road as the current range of consoles deprecates and is replaced, but we are talking at least 5-10 years to see collectible status, and that’s just too long for me. Of course, all of this could change with the next disruption. I wonder how close we are to the end of consoles with Google’s new streaming game service launching later this year?Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum
bobbygamequest
Main one's i'm holding for major price appreciation are the following sets. Teen Titans, Sonic, Midway Arcade, Harry Potter, DC Comics. Very iconic brands which I think the figures and the sets will hold value regardless if they are playable with the gaming portion or not. Guest TabbyBoy
I've only bought them at 86% off and flipped most immediately for 3x buy-in. Also a great way to get minifigs that aren't often available otherwise. I sold a lot of my 21304 Doctor Who sets at the highest prices because I bundled the Cyberman and Dalek.
