Lordoflego Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Lego’s monthly calendars aren’t what they used to be. They don’t tell us about upcoming promos anymore. Sorry if this thread already exist. 4 Quote

DadsAFOL Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 I heard a rumor that March was the end of the monthly mini build program after 10 years, 3 months. So April has no monthly build, but has a "holiday" build (Earth Day), so I'm wondering if they will still have a mini build each month, but mix up the dates and reasons depending on what's going on that month. Will be interesting to see what happens in May. Quote

It is not a rumor. If you look at the back of March calendar, it says March would be the last monthly mini build event. Quote
SpaceFan9 Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 The folks at my nearest store said the program was changing because it had become too hard to manage---abusive language from parents, and reservation time slots not respected were at the top of the litany. So it's being scaled back, and signups now need to be in-store/in-person, to give the stores better control. The mystery build on April 18th is Thor's hammer. Signup begins on (or after?) April 5th. Poor planning, management, and execution be-gets angry parents...it's the lax rules that opportunistic parents take advantage of...is what makes rule following parents irritated. Either do it right or don't do it at all....that said...signing up for these build online right at midnight on the 15th was a bit annoying...but then showing up and being turned away will be up there on the annoying factor as well. can never under-estimate the power of "FREE" Quote

Just a small rant...Sorry. 3 Quote
