t12ung Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Is there anything to be wary of when buying Lego gift card from a distance seller? Obviously worry would be the seller using the card after it's been sold? Quote

If it involves anything other than PayPal goods and services then I'd avoid Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 It depends on the asking price and the card value. I'd not take a chance unless you're fully covered or if it's dirt cheap. Quote
t12ung Posted January 18, 2019 Author Posted January 18, 2019 PayPal states that the following kind of purchase is not covered : eBay classified advertisements What exactly does this mean? I'm pretty sure eBay purchases are covered as standard? Quote
iahawks550 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 There are several things to be worried about. Tell them to list it on Ebay and you will pay 10% more for it to cover their costs. Then you have an added layer of protection. Quote
Phil B Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 The only way I would do this is if I was standing at the checkout with my purchase ready, then buy the gift card on the phone from the seller, have them pass you the GC details, and immediately use it. But even then they could disconnect before they give you the card details or something, and you would be screwed. Net, sounds like too much trouble. Quote
