Looks like Market Street threw up on the Pet Shop. Just not the look or colors I envisioned. Was hoping for more muted colors, smokey/noir style Detective Agency. Not this orange and blue junk. I agree it's a step down from the last few.

I agree about the colours, it is a bit too fancy for detective's beaurau. When it's available, I might build it first and then re-place the funky bricks with some more muted colours :)

I really like it. Not every building can be this perfect piece of architecture. I've been told by a solid source that the Detective Agency is supposed to have some special features, unlike any other Modular.

I like special features...

Regardless of whether folks love it or hate it, this is great news for those (like myself) that have some FB, GE and THs.

For some reason, this also made me think the PS is on borrowed time. I could see TLG trimming the modular line to 3 on the go at a time, which is still a lot of shelf space. Plus it is giving off a similar vibe (to me at least) of the PS, so it seems like a natural replacement. Care to offer some insight, Ed?

Your logic is sound.

I think it's ok. Lots of nice little details, though it looks kinda cramped and packed together. I suppose it keeps in with the PR in keeping things small.

I quite like the barber shop and the alley.

I like it, except for the fact it appears we will once again be getting stickers.

A barber shop is also a nice addition to my street. I am not sure if I am a fan of the market street blue, but if it doesn't grow on me, it seems you wouldn't need that many pieces to give it another color.

I heard that it is a detective agency that is comprised of two parts (like the pet shop). There is a pool hall on the first floor and a detective agency on the second floor. On the other part of the building, there is a barber shop on the first floor and an apartment above this. It sounds amazing!

Wow. spot on on all accounts. That's amazing.  8)

You must have a good source--I was hoping this rumor was true. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I've been looking forward to seeing this one and I really like it.  I have yet to pick up a modular but I see a lot of super hero potential for this one--especially for Batman.  It's on the list now with UCS Slave I and USC Tumbler.  2015 is going to be expensive . . .

Wow I love this. I am only disappointed with the detective figure. He should be more noir with an unshaven face and scoffing expression. If their office has that little fan that I am totally sold.

They can't end the modular line after this awesomeness. They just can't! Do you hear me LEGO?
