popalzai Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 got 2 vampyre castles (only 2 left) from the Store for 176$ about 88$ each still not the best deal but cheapest as of now. Quote
legopocalypse Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 When does the TRU BOGO sale end? Is it still going on tomorrow both in store and online? Quote
exciter1 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I think the sale runs through next Saturday 2/23. Quote
hxckid88 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 BEST DAY EVER....got helms deep for 90.00. I didnt have to argue with them at all they prices matched. I also got 6 minecraft sets. They didn't even check the ad. I simpley stated I can get this set cheaper somewhere else and they said ok. One can only speculate what a dishonest person would have done. I than want to the other tru where I had the exact opposite situation as the manager was a prick. That's the evry brief cliff notes version of my find as I'm too lazy to type everything that transpiredbut was quite a day. ALWAYS talk to a manager, you never know what they may do for you. Just hone your approach, have a gameplan and be polite. Quote
popalzai Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 TRU store near my home has couple of Helms deep with the discount if each will cost me 112$ its the same price for which amazon was selling before they had inventory problem is this a good buy or should i wait for amazon. Quote
hxckid88 Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 It should be 112.00 with buy one get one 50 percent off which you should jump on. Quote
Legodog Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I got Friends Summer Riding Camp (3185) and Monster Fighters Vampyre Castle (9468) for $78.70 each after tax. Not too bad. But I did have a hard time finding anything else worthwhile after the markups. Quote
redeemed763 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 LOTR Polybags are good buys right now, also, there is the Barrel Escape from the Hobbit that is like a Lego TRU exclusive as I haven't seen it anywhere else, this set comes to over 20% off with the BOGO 50% sale. There are a few ways to squeak a deal by but it isn't anything special. Quote
exciter1 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 The Y-Wing (9495) ended up being $36.16 each for me and I didn't even have to hassle with a manager. I just went up to register and both rang up to a total of $72.32. OK, this is a pretty good deal. The sale on the Y-Wing ends at close of business today. Quote
