Super Heroes 2019

I am used to Spider-Man crafting all sorts of gadgets and gear but always found it odd when he suddenly pulled out a vehicle or mech cool as they looked such as the Spider Crawler here. For as acrobatically mobile he is, what does Spider-Man need a buggy for? Haha. Well anyway, the huge Venom is rather rad although the torso area appears kind of flat compared to the rest of the form. Poor Aunt May, I am surprised she hasn't had a heart attack twice over.

I wonder what the story is to the matching outfits for the Avengers?  As a figure collector, this wave is top notch.  The Hall of Armor is a nice addition too.

You would think they have more pressing things to attend to than coordinating outfits.

I didn't see anyone that dusted.

Agreed except for the overabundance of outriders. 8 outriders across 5 sets, that bums me out.

curious...does new variations of a character minifig increase overall collection value or dilute it?

I'm not talking about the one and done characters that are rare..there's so many of batman and ironman so maybe they are bad examples...more like Rocket or Hulk

To me it depends on the variation.  Like you referenced Batman.  A small change to his insignia or something I could care less, though I'm sure there are collectors that have them all.  A different suit altogether and I'll grab it.  That said, I want the different Iron Man armor variations and many have only subtle differences which is what makes some of these upcoming figures appealing since they are very different from your standard dark red with gold/silver accents even though those are what he wears in the movies.  All of those suits has stagnated the value of them as well.  I sell most of my IM figures on Bricklink for $6-10 depending on the suit.  His original and probably most boring suit sells for more than that.

A lot depends on the set it was in as well.  A cool figure in a $20 set is going to have limited ceiling.

In simple terms, to answer your question, the more variety to a figure there is, the lower the price overall on that figure.
