Ed Mack
Yep - methinks we will see this guy appreciate nicely once it's off the major online retailer's virtual shelves. BTW, the $100 B-Wing was an absolute gift from TLC. I can't wait for the next one (if there is one). The $100 B-Wing was the easiest way to indicate who is a reseller. Diabolos80
The $100 B-Wing was the easiest way to indicate who is a reseller. Maybe. It probably created a few a resellers, too, though.

They thought everything was gonna be that easy. Its not. Luckily its fun.
Sauromosis
Whoa, whoa, let's remember the thing is unstable when built and seems to get negative user reviews. I see appreciation, but not a home run.

Sauromosis
I have read many reviews on Walmart.com and other places that say the wings fall off. Haven't built it myself, own 2.
jaisonline
It is a huge Lego UCS spaceship. The UCS line is meant for display and not play. Reviewers forget that.
exciter1
UCS ships are meant to be tied to ceiling fans and spin on high until they hit 12 parsecs.
Ed Mack
If displayed, the set is no different than any other UCS set. Did you ever try to fly around a 10030 Star Destroyer or 10179 Millennium Falcon?

Did you ever try to fly around a 10030 Star Destroyer or 10179 Millennium Falcon? Exactly. Unless we are those total jerks who flew an SSD into a DS and made me cry, why would anyone ever need them to do something that causes wings to fall off? Here is a review for you: When built it looks badass as hell. It is a "cod-piece" of a living room. It's massive and blends in well with other UCS sets in terms of size and impressiveness. Stamp it with that.

Did you ever try to fly around a 10030 Star Destroyer or 10179 Millennium Falcon? I have never tried to fly one of those sets around. I would imagine that they are really heavy and that if you dropped it, you would be spending the next few days trying to build the set back after it was destroyed. KG204
It holds together well, but definitely not enough for playing. Pieces don't come off, especially if simply being displayed.

Had it been B-Wing, it would most likely start losing pieces while still airborne.

I saw that video, and I am not sure what the point was for it. I do not know anyone that throws $200-$400 Lego sets around. Personally, I would never do something like that to any of my Lego sets. For the fanboy, that is as close as you're going to get to reenacting the SSD crashing into the Death Star II at the end of Return of the Jedi. I understand wanting to make a viral video, my point was really about people complaining about a set because it falls apart when thrown around or played with. It is a display set and to expect a Tonka toy is quite unrealistic.

My 1st sentence was really my point (SSD being stable). Upon re-read, I probably should have not mentioned airborne in the 2nd sentence
Huskers1236
UCS ships are meant to be tied to ceiling fans and spin on high until they hit 12 parsecs. Yes they are. I have gone through several fans trying to destroy my MF, it has survived all flights. It may look like a piece of junk, but it's got it where it counts.

Sauromosis
There's a reason it was sold for 99 and it wasn't charity.
