Being a massive Mamod fan, it's got my vote and I want one, please PM me. Do you have instructions ready? Don't worry, I won't poach it! ?

I have another idea that may help you since you're in the UK.

LEGO will be missing a MASSIVE opportunity if this masterpiece is overlooked. I just cannot fault it which is very rare for me!

For some reason, my earlier reply wasn't published - MODS probably due to my reputation? ?

Think that’s a great idea and good luck to you mate.

Thanks very much, I'm glad you like it. I've always felt traction engines are stunning machines and full of character and charm. That's why I thought one would translate well as a Lego set.

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I haven't had chance to make instructions yet sorry. I'm making a couple of subtle alterations to the model first. Nothing that will alter the overall appearance but there are just a couple of tweaks I want to make.

You replied to the gallery and not this thread. ;)

I know that now... I'll forever hang my head in shame.

Excellent build and beautiful renders. At first glance I almost thought the main image was real.

Thank you very much. I spent almost as much time learning how to render the images as it took to build the model. ?  Although these pics are rendered I am currently working on a brick built version.

LOL...even when you're trying to be positive, you find a way to be negative.

There's good and bad in everything, everybody and everywhere ?

I won £150 (£100 + £50) on Premium Bonds this morning, but I've been constipated all day.

Equilibrium is a good thing.

I like this.  It's a unique idea, it looks fantastic, and it captures the spirit of a successful LEGO set, with the main build(s), and the side builds.  Personally, I think you've hit all the right things for this to be a set.  You have my vote (and support on Ideas), good luck!

Thanks a lot. I tried to design this with dual appeal so that it would be of interest to adult fans but also added the side builds and play features so that kids would like it too. My hope is that Lego would take things like that in to account when choosing which sets to approve for production. Of course I have first got to scale the huge task of getting 10,000 votes. ? Thank you very much for supporting.

Excellent looking set. Supported.

If this can get to 10,000 then I think it would have a much better chance of "working" for Lego than say the Big Steam Tractor (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/14ffa9b3-8bff-4724-941e-18399823f293) which would be far more expensive and purely a display piece.

Lego love playability and yours has that in bucketfulls.

Obviously 10,000 votes is a hell of a mountain to climb but if I ever get there I'm hoping I've done enough with the model to convince Lego to produce it as a set. I wanted it to be full of accurate details to please Adult fans, but I also added the wagon, and other play features to give it more of a "play set" vibe to appeal to children. It also only has 480 pieces so I reckon it could retail for a fairly affordable price.

I know people are likely to compare my model with "The Big Steam Tractor" (which I think is a great model by the way). I think they are both quite different though and satisfy different markets. Mine is more of a Creator style model with mini figs. The Steam Tractor is, I think aimed more at Technic fans.

I agree entirely. They are two completely different approaches.

For the size, you have packed a whole host of features in, which I completely love.

This is a set to buy to play, and would work well with many Creator and even Freinds sets.

I had actually considered an alternate Christmas version of this model. The driver mini fig could be replaced with Santa Clause and the wagon filled with brick built toys and parcels. It would compliment the winter village train pretty nicely. Who would like a model like that as part of their winter village layout?

I've just supported it again with my old "reseller" account ? I'm hoping it's on the shelves by my birthday next year!

Fantastic, thanks a lot. ?
