Hello Everyone,

This is my very first post and I'm reaching out because I need a little help.

I just acquired a sealed mint LEGO 1068 Air Patrol Extreme Team (1999) set and I'm trying to assess a value. I have searched everywhere. I have found plenty of used sets with no box ranging from $2 to $10, but no sets new in a factory sealed box.

The only pricing information I have come across is actually on this site has an American value of $295. I have reached out to the creators of BrickPicker with no luck of a response.

Can anyone confirm the value and/or have some sort of history information pertaining to this set?

Google shopping search "Lego 1068". There is a website that has it for $14 plus shipping.

There is a duplicate of this set #2849. The duplicate set is running at $5.90 new on Bricklink.

Afraid this one isn't the LEGO gold we were promised.

Would you happen to know why BrickPicker assesses this set so high, could it be a mistake?

When there isn't enough valid data from the sources it pulls from on eBay and Amazon, it uses a random number generator to set a value in order to lure folks in. It plays well to the "LEGO is a better investment than gold" narrative.
